Defender Egan joins Hull from Burnley

Hull City have signed defender John Egan from Burnley for an undisclosed fee.
The 32-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins the Tigers on an 18-month deal, with a club option for another year.
He leaves promotion-chasing Burnley five months into a season-long deal, having moved to Turf Moor as a free agent after his release by Sheffield United following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
The former Brentford and Gillingham centre-half had spent six seasons at Bramall Lane, making 208 league appearances.

Hull are 21st in the Championship, two points above the relegation zone, and visit the Clarets on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, midfielder Yuriel Celi has left the club without making a first-team appearance, joining Peruvian side Club Universitario de Deportes on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
Since City purchased him from Carlos A. Mannuci in January 2023, the one-time Peru international has spent the past two years on loan with Los Cremas.
