Evans signs Preston player-coach deal

Ched Evans failed to score in his 19 appearances for Preston last season

Preston North End striker Ched Evans has signed a player-coach deal.

The 35-year-old former Wales forward was out of contract at the end of the month.

He has scored 16 goals in 88 league appearances for the Championship club since joining from Fleetwood in January 2021.

“He’s got valuable experience and we still feel he’s got a lot to offer on the pitch, but off it as well," boss Ryan Lowe told the club website.
