Two of the top four goalscorers in Europe's top leagues - and a winner of the Euro 2024 Golden Boot - have new clubs this summer.

It is not just Premier League clubs who have been making big moves in the transfer market, with European sides splashing the cash too.

You may have missed several transfers though, with Euro 2024 and now the Olympics going on, so BBC Sport has rounded up some of the headline deals here.

You can pick which one you think is the best signing at the bottom.

Serhou Guirassy (Stuttgart - Borussia Dortmund)

Striker Serhou Guirassy joins Borussia Dortmund for a bargain fee of about £15m because of a release clause in his Stuttgart deal.

Harry Kane's scoring exploits for Bayern Munich - 36 Bundesliga goals - mean Guirassy's remarkable goal haul for Stuttgart went slightly under the radar.

The Guinea international scored 28 goals in 28 Bundesliga games (a goal every 79 minutes) to help them into the Champions League.

He finished second to Kane in the European Golden Shoe race. Nobody in any of Europe's other top leagues outscored him.

Kane, Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were the only players to score more than that in a Bundesliga season since 2012.

Until last season Guirassy had a fairly unremarkable career in the first and second tiers in Germany and France.

He was one of two players to make the move from Stuttgart to Dortmund this summer, along with Germany defender Waldemar Anton for about £19m.

Robin le Normand (Real Sociedad - Atletico Madrid)

One of several of Spain's Euro 2024 winners to make a move this summer, centre-back Robin le Normand has left Real Sociedad for Atletico Madrid.

The 27-year-old was born in France but gained Spanish citizenship in 2023 after playing in the country since 2016 for Real Sociedad.

He played six of Spain's seven games at Euro 2024, only missing the semi-final against France through suspension.

Le Normand played 221 times for Real Sociedad and helped the Basque side win the 2019-20 Copa del Rey.

The fee is thought to be about £29m.

His signing comes after the departure of Montenegro centre-back Stefan Savic to Trabzonspor.

Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa - Juventus)

Italian side Juventus signed Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz for £42.35m (50m euros).

The 26-year-old, who played for Brazil in this summer's Copa America, played 204 times for Aston Villa and scored 22 goals.

He is renowned for his corner taking, scoring directly with several attempts.

His girlfriend, Switzerland international Alisha Lehmann, also made the same move this summer from Villa to Juve's women's team.

Juve also signed Nice and France midfielder Khephren Thuram for almost £17m.

Kylian Mbappe (Paris St-Germain - Real Madrid)

The headline transfer of the summer anywhere in the world sees Paris St-Germain's all-time top goalscorer Kylian Mbappe move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old scored 256 goals in seven years at PSG, having netted 27 goals for his first senior club Monaco. He has also scored 48 international goals, winning the 2018 World Cup and scoring a hat-trick in the 2022 final.

He won six consecutive Ligue 1 Golden Boots and was the fourth top scorer in any of Europe's top flights last season.

While Ligue 1 to La Liga is an undoubted step up, the fact Mbappe has scored 48 Champions League goals shows he is capable of scoring against elite opposition too.

BBC Sport understands he will earn £12.8m (15m euros) a season, plus a £128m (150m euros) signing-on bonus to be paid over five years, and he will keep a percentage of his image rights.

He joins Brazil striker Endrick, who has just turned 18, at the club, although that deal was agreed in December 2022.

Georges Mikautadze (Metz - Lyon)

Mikautadze doubles Georgia's lead against Portugal

Georges Mikautadze's stock rose this summer when he shared the Euro 2024 Golden Boot - along with five other players - after netting three times for Georgia.

Lyon paid an initial 18.5m euros (£15.6m) to sign him from Metz to cap off a back and forth year.

Ajax signed Mikautadze from Metz for £13.5m (16m euros) on 30 August but loaned him back to the French club on 4 January with an option to buy for £11m (13m euros), which Metz took up on 1 July - before selling him 18 days later.

Mikautadze returns to his hometown club, as he was born in Lyon to Georgian parents and was in their youth team set-up until the age of 15.

Lyon have had a busy summer, also recruiting Nottingham Forest duo Moussa Niakhate and Orel Mangala for £27m and £15m respectively, West Ham winger Said Benrahma for £11.9m and Molenbeek striker Ernest Nuamah for £24m - the latter three after loan spells. They have also made several other lower-fee signings.

Alvaro Morata (Atletico Madrid - AC Milan)

Alvaro Morata has moved back to Serie A after leading Spain to Euro 2024 glory as captain this summer.

The 31-year-old, who won trophies in two separate spells at Juventus, has joined AC Milan after they paid his reported £11m release clause from Atletico Madrid.

The striker moves to San Siro after the best goalscoring season of his career, hitting 21 for Atletico.

The much-travelled player has also won silverware for Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Milan needed a new frontman after veteran Olivier Giroud moved to Los Angeles FC.

Michael Olise (Crystal Palace - Bayern Munich)

Vincent Kompany's Bayern Munich paid £50m (60m euros) to bring in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise.

The London-born 22-year-old, who becomes Bayern's fourth most expensive signing, is currently playing for France at the Olympics.

Last season he scored 10 goals in an injury-hit campaign, with his best form coming in the final months under Oliver Glasner.

In 2022-23 he was named Palace's Players' Player of the Year and became their first player to reach 10 assists or more in a Premier League campaign.

He will be hoping to build up a good partnership with England striker Harry Kane and Germany forward Jamal Musiala, with whom he spent time in Chelsea's academy.

Joao Palhinha (Fulham - Bayern Munich)

Bayern Munich have been busy this summer after losing the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.

They signed Fulham and Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha, 29, for an initial £42.3m, plus £4.2m in add-ons.

He almost joined the club a year ago and had a medical before the deal collapsed as Fulham could not sign a replacement.

He made 79 appearances over two seasons for Fulham, scoring eight times... and picking up 27 yellow cards.
