Barrow sign striker Healey and defender Smith

Kerr Smith has yet to make a senior appearance for Aston Villa

Barrow have agreed loan deals for Huddersfield Town striker Rhys Healey and Aston Villa centre-back Kerr Smith.

Healey, 30, has joined until January 2026, while Smith, 20, will spend the season with the League Two side.

Former MK Dons and Toulouse man Healey has scored four goals in 20 league appearances for Town since joining from Watford in January 2024 but has not played since February because of a knee injury.

Smith started his career with Dundee United and made his competitive debut against Rangers at Ibrox aged 16.

Both players could feature in Saturday's home game against Notts County.
