Erol Bulut says he is "satisfied" with Cardiff City's pre-season efforts - which concluded with a 2-0 win at Bristol Rovers.

Aaron Ramsey and Joe Ralls struck in either half at the Memorial Ground in what was the Bluebirds' fifth win from eight summer outings.

Bulut feels the triumph over Matt Taylor's Rovers will serve his side well ahead of their 2024-25 Championship opener against Sunderland on Saturday, 10 August.

"Not only today, also the previous pre-season matches have been good," Bulut told BBC Sport Wales.

"The last one is maybe the most important because it's one week before the league is starting and to have a victory with good morale to take into next week for the Championship.

"Of course, great goals outside of the box, this is what we want this season, to have many shots and possibilities to score.

"We created a few and we scored two. We didn't concede, this is also good.

"Our defensive shape has also been working really well, so I am satisfied with the pre-season."
