It doesn't feel like 11 against 10 right now. Lyon look comfortable and have created more in extra-time despite having Corentin Tolisso sent off.

It's what Man Utd need to be wary about giving away needless set-pieces. Rayan Cherki has been the best player on the pitch from a Lyon point of view.

Now a poor challenge by Harry Maguire on Rayan Cherki out wide deep inside Manchester United's half which results in a booking for the defender.

  7. 'Magnificent performance by Spurs'published at 22:04 British Summer Time 17 April

    Glenn Hoddle
Former England and Tottenham manager on TNT Sports

It's a magnificent performance, it really is. Look at the joy it's bringing to the whole team and the fans.

They deserve it. There were spells where they just had to dig in. They defended well and really played as a team in a really balanced way.

What a stunning performance from a Spurs side who sit 15th in the Premier League and have struggled massively in numerous matches this season.

Thoroughly deserved as they go to celebrate with the 3,000 fans who have made the trip to Germany.

I know the timing of Amorim joining wasn't ideal, mid season, new system that doesn't fit the players... But part of me wonders how United would have done if he stuck to 4231 instead of insisting on this formation that isn't working... We'll never know.

    A game full of sub-plots.

Manchester United were so dominant in the first half, you felt they could push on and get that third goal.

Lyon were excellent with the way they came back, but the sending off will play a huge part in the game.

It's going to extra time in Rome as Lazio make it 2-0 on the night and 2-2 on aggregate against Bodo/Glimt as Tijjani Noslin scores in the third minute of added time.

We've also got extra time on the way in the Conference League. It's 2-1 to Djurgarden on the night and 2-2 on aggregate in their game against Rapid Vienna.

The winner of that tie takes on Chelsea in the Conference league semi-finals.

  19. Lowest attendance in years at Chelseapublished at 21:57 British Summer Time 17 April

FT: Chelsea 1-2 Legia Warsaw (agg 4-2)

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

The official attendance at Stamford Bridge is 29,027.

That's the lowest it has been in years but this time it hasn't been because of a struggle to sell tickets for the Conference League.

It is because there is a huge steward presence in the stadium and the closure of multiple parts of the ground amid concerns about Legia Warsaw's away support.

The match seems to have mostly gone off without a hitch.
