Brett McGavin struck twice as Yeovil toppled 10-man Boston 3-1 in their National League clash at Jakemans Community Stadium.

McGavin fired a superb free-kick in the seventh minute to get the visitors off to a strong start but the score was levelled shortly after when Tony Weston’s astute pass was stabbed home by Sam Osborne.

Boston were back in the hunt as they searched for their second win of the season only for Jordan Richards to be sent off or a dangerous tackle on Charlie Cooper two minutes after their equaliser.

McGavin buried Raphael Araoye’s cutback shortly before half-time and Yeovil completed the scoring after the interval when Jordan Young scored following good work by Sam Pearson.

Town’s Jake Wannell was sent off for a second bookable offence in the closing minutes.
