Lewis Stevenson scored one and set up another when Raith Rovers beat Dunfermline Athletic in the first Fife derby of the season back in August.

Full-back Stevenson slid in to give the hosts a second-minute lead following forceful play by Dylan Easton and Paul McMullan.

And Lewis Vaughan netted the Kirkcaldy side's second on the turn following a Stevenson throw-in with 12 minutes left.

Raith Rovers were booed off at Stark's Park last weekend after their 2-0 defeat to Ayr United.

Barry Robson's side have just one win in their last five, but the Rovers boss is sure his side won't be so slack and flat as they were against Ayr, tonight.

Dunfermline didn't have a game last weekend as their scheduled meeting with Airdrieonians was postponed due to having a number of players away on international duty.

They'll meet the Diamonds on Tuesday.

Raith Rovers manager Barry Robson tells BBC Scotland: “I think we're actually going quite well, then last week was one of them performances that you get sometimes, it's very unlike us as a team since I've been here.

“We looked a bit flat, although we had a lot of possession in the game.

“So, we just need that zip and that bit of energy, about our play and if we get that back we should be fine.

“We're normally a very hungry team, the boys like to run.

“It's a game that you've got to try and control the madness as they say, you've got to have that calmness in the game.

“Play the game, don't play the occasion, that's what I'm telling the players.”

Dunfermline Athletic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Scotland: “We're young, but we're vibrant.

“We're looking forward to the game, that’s the way the club wants to go.

“We've got talented players in the team, but this is a derby.

“You've got to be physical, Raith have got some really good players and some really senior pros in there, who know the league.

“We have to match that and then play our football when we can.

“It'll be a little bit of a blur to start with.

“I remember my first derby up here against Rangers, for 45 minutes it was a blur.

“So, try and get your second wind early and then, you know, feed off the energy.”
