Peterborough United came from two goals down to beat Newport County 4-2 in the first round of the FA Cup.
Nelson Jardim's side flew out of the traps, with Anthony Glennon netting from a free-kick in the fifth minute at Rodney Parade.
Kai Whitmore capitalised on an Emmanuel Fernandez slip to fire home Newport's second just two minutes later, although Abraham Odoh tapped home from Kwame Poku's cross on 27 minutes to cut the Exiles' lead.
After Nick Townsend denied Poku, Posh thought they had equalised before the break when Jack Sparkes' delivery ended up in the Newport net, although a corner was controversially awarded to cut short the away side's celebrations.
But they made it 2-2 in the 71st minute as Joel Randall's left-footed drive flew into the roof of the net, and Ricky-Jade Jones struck twice late on to seal victory for Darren Ferguson's side.
Post-match reaction
Newport County boss Nelson Jardim told BBC Sport Wales:
"I'm obviously frustrated with the result, but I'm just proud of the effort of everyone.
"I think we've shown that we can really compete. We had such a good start to the game, we just have to focus now on the plenty of positives we have from this game.
"We knew that we would be facing a very strong side from League One, but I'm just proud with everything, especially the first-half and the start, it was great."
Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire:
"We made it as difficult as we could really. When you start a game of football, regardless of what tournament you're in, the way we did it's always going to be tough.
"As a manager, I'm fortunate we've got so much talent at the top end of the pitch.
"At the moment, we're quite honestly just going to have to outscore other teams, and that's what we did."
