A couple more changes to bring you. A former Cup winner, Michael O'Halloran, is on alongside Ritchie Kane-Hosler. Chris Kane and Archie Stevens are replaced.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen bring on Alfie Dorrington and Graeme Shinnie. The latter takes the armband from the departing Sivert Heltne Nilsen, while Mats Knoester is also replaced.

Another long ball over the top catches Aberdeen out and Lewis McCann gets between the two defenders, but fires way wide when he's off balance.

You're expecting Chris Kane to finish the first one. The second effort from Archie Stevens is too straight, if he hits it either side then it probably goes in.

Good play though, well worked.

That was the chance for Dunfermline!

Ephraim Yeboah plays a brilliant pass to Chris Kane in the box, but his volley is straight at Ross Doohan. The ball spills back to Archie Stevens, but again it's straight at the keeper.

Jeppe Okkels is off, replaced by Shayden Morris. Another quiet afternoon for the Danish winger, who is still finding his feet after his winter arrival to Pittodrie.

Morris has been a regular sub for Jimmy Thelin, normally impressing in short cameos.

Dunfermline swing a free-kick in, it's nodded to the back post and volleyed at goal. It's smashed at Jack MacKenzie from close range, there's a big shout for handball, but nothing given.

The replay shows it hits his chest.

Michael Tidser has gone to his bench almost immediately as he searches desperately for a goal to get them back into this.

Ephraim Yeboah and Kieran Ngwenya are on, replacing Chris Hamilton and Joe Chalmers.

That's the way to deal with a cup tie. Two very quick goals, one just before the interval and one just after it.

They should now coast until the final whistle and into the last eight.

That is the second half under way. Can Dunfermline fight back or will Aberdeen hold out, and possible see off the Pars challenge with a couple more goals?

You don't see that very often. At the half-time whistle, Jimmy Thelin was out on the pitch talking to his players before they got to the dressing room.

Kevin Nisbet is just nowhere near it.

You can't find him with crosses. That's maybe why the wingers can't be more creative because he's nowhere to be seen in the box.

I don't really know what he gives to the team just now.

I don't think you can say they don't deserve it.

They're lacking confidence. Kevin Nisbet looks completely devoid of confidence.

However, there's a pretty clear way of playing, you can see what Thelin is trying to do.

It's well taken by Pape Gueye and well delivered.

Decent movement to lose his man, he then finds himself just outside the six-yard box and he's not going to miss from there.

And that header is the last action of the first-half - an absolute sickener for the visitors, who battled hard in the opening 45 minutes.

Aberdeen did have the better of it, but they lacked a killer instinct for most of that half, getting into the final third and showing no signs of composure.

That was until the free-kick right at the end, curled onto the bonce of Papa Gueye whose powerful header left keeper Tobi Oluwayemi with no chance.

Topi Keskinen cuts back on the byeline and sends in a cross with a rabona. Yet again, though, it's cleared as Aberdeen fail to attack the cross properly.

They've knocked on the door this half, but somewhat gently.

Wotherspoon is not under any pressure whatsoever. He was so disappointed with the outcome of that strike.

Really you're expecting him to hit the target at the very least but he balloons it way over the bar.
