It's starting to go from end to end, the game is opening up and neither of these sides want to settle for a point.

Harrogate have it up Crewe's end again. Is this game beginning to even out?

Stephen Duke-McKenna sets up a strike from outside the box but it bangs off a white shirt before it can pierce through.

The ball is back up to the defensive half for them though. More defending to do.

Harrogate haven't had the lion's share of chances in this half (nor much of the first, really) but they are stepping it up now.

A few deliveries into the box lead to a corner, which is taken with some real pace but Crewe manage to clear out the danger.

The ball is then back in it's usual position back up the other end to give Jack Lankester a duo of chances. His first deflected out, his second clattering the cross bar.

He is looking a real danger indeed.

Now it's Harrogate's time to look to their bench and try and change the flow.

Ellis Taylor and Levi Sutton are exchanged for Conor McAleny and Ben Fox.

Crewe front man Josh March is all too familiar with Exercise Stadium, having left the club this summer to join up with the Alex.

He evades his former team-mates feet to chip in a cross towards Jack Lankester in the box.

Lankester gets a touch but can't guide it towards the net.

Crewe have been on top all game. That's been the pattern but they now have to work the goalkeeper.

They have to keep plugging away because there's plenty of time to do it in.

Crewe make another move from the bench.

Owen Lunt is on to replace Conor Thomas.

Harrogate captain Warren Burrell floors a Crewe player to give away a free-kick in a lip-smacking kind of area.

Max Sanders takes but sees it ricochet way from the hosts' defensive line.

Harrogate's Bobby Faulkner is trampolining into the air to try and win the ball but ends up thudding onto the pitch.

He does win a free-kick though. A little unjustly considering Tommi O'Reilly was nothing more than an innocent by-stander.

Crewe substitute Jack Lankester shows the quality he has when he's given space on the right and delivers a wonderful cross.

Nobody can get on the end of it though and the ball goes out of play.

Levi Sutton dribbles the ball forward to reach the edge of the penalty box, sending a low pass into the box to try and see his efforts get some fruition.

His delivery doesn't meet a Harrogate player though and ends up going out of play.

At least, a little something to say the hosts are still up for providing some threat.

It will be interesting how Simon Weaver approaches this in this second half because Harrogate need to win this and he'll want to win this.

Crewe are keen to keep up their momentum early into this second half as the ball is arrowed sideways to Calum Agius.

Agius lets loose but can't keep his strike on target.

The half-time entertainment at Exercise Stadium featured a one-man light show (not performed by Simon Weaver) but the home side are going to need the whole squad to regain their lead.

Can they illuminate the stands by a first EFL win over Crewe?
