Reggie became England's unofficial mascot during the tournament but who is this dog and and where did he come from?

Reggie, the cavapoo, belongs to the owner of a moblie barista bar - Cheals on Wheels, who's accompanying the Lionesses on their Euros campaign in Switzerland and has ironically become their unofficial mascot.

England's midfielder Keira Walsh spoke about how much support Reggie provided for her and the girls:

"We've got a coffee dog that helps," Walsh said.

"I think most of the girls spend their time with him.

"I don't think he realises how much he's helped us. When we won the game, he came into the meal room afterwards, and we were all so happy to see him.

"So I think he's definitely been helping the most, it's fair to say."

    England

England forward, Ella Toone, speaking to BBC Sport on winning with her best friend [Alessia Russo] beside her: "Oh it's the best feeling in the world. I think as well, just the rest of the team they’ve been amazing all tournament. We’re a proper together team, we’ve dug deep, we’ve relied on so many people and people to come on and push us over the line.

"These memories are absolutely unbelievable and to share them with your best mate is a dream come true. It’s something that we dreamed about when we were little girls starting out in our journeys so yeah buzzing."

On what she's most proud of: “Winning, yeah. I thought that was the most obvious answer. Winning. You know what, we were proud when we stepped out onto the pitch today that we’d made three finals in a row.

"We’d already made the nation proud, we’d already inspired so many young girls and boys and obviously we wanted to go one step further and win it again. So yeah proud of winning, proud of playing for England, proud of representing our country and proud of everything we’ve done for women’s football."

  6. 'Everyone deserves to enjoy the moment'published at 15:19 British Summer Time

    England

When Alessia Russo was asked about what it means to score in a major final her best friend Ella Toone, who scored the opening goal in the 2022 final, chirped in with “I taught her that”.

Russo said it’s a great feeling: “I don’t care how we won this tournament, how many goals I scored, I just wanted to win this tournament. That’s what we set out from the start and to contribute in the final is massive but also we defended so well. There were so many different moments and different things that happened. We just wanted to win."

Toone said she’ll be leading the celebrations. “Everyone’s worked so hard and everyone deserves to enjoy the moment. In football these moments don’t come around that often so when they do you’ve really got to embrace it and enjoy it. I know these next few days are going to be amazing and we’re going to celebrate. We’re champions of Europe again and we should be so so proud. Over the moon."

    England

England forward, Alessia Russo, speaking to BBC Sport: "No, it’s not really [sunk in]. Last time it took ages and I think this will be the same. To do back to back just feels a bit mad.

"Yeah we never liked to do it the easy way this tournament but it just shows a resilience and a different side of us that maybe people haven’t seen before. I think looking back over the past few tournaments we maybe haven’t faced the challenges that we faced this tournament.

"The way that we’ve all stuck together and got through it and found different ways to win, whether that’s extra time, penalties, normal time doesn’t really matter. The squad’s so fit as well, you have players that can last it, you have players that can come on and yeah it just feels great."

Hannah Hampton has revealed that her Grandad passed away two days before Euro 2025 kicked off through a tribute on Instagram.

In a heartfelt message, she wrote: "Dear Grandpa, two days before the biggest tournament of my life, you left.

"It still doesn’t feel real. I kept thinking when I’d call nannie I’d hear your voice again - one of your jokes, or one of those little comments you’d make that somehow said everything without saying much at all.

"You were one of my biggest supporters. You believed in me before I even knew what this journey would look like. You were always there - watching, encouraging, teaching. You taught me so much, not just about football, but about life. About staying grounded, working hard, being resilient and doing things the right way.

"I miss our chats. I miss you saying “Only us athletes understand” — always with a little smirk like you were in on something special. And you were. You got it. You understood what this meant to me. You understood what it took.

"It breaks my heart that you didn’t get to see me walk out for our country at my first major tournament... something you dreamed of for me, something we talked about so many times. I wanted to see your face or hear your voice after the game calling back home. I wanted to share that with you.

"But I know, deep down, you were still there. I felt you with me. In the tunnel. On the pitch. In the tough moments. I heard you in my head when I needed strength.

"I hope I made you proud, Grandpa. I carried you through every minute. And I always will. I did it. WE DID IT."

WOW. WOW. WOW. No amount of words can describe how incredible the Lionesses are. From Lucy tough bronze’s broken leg to Chloe clutch Kelly’s winning penalty, this team are never ready to give up. They are 1000% an inspiration to all especially young girls and boys. They are the first England team to win a major trophy on foreign soil. It may not have been an easy road but their team spirit and the love they have for each other never dies and ultimately is why they won the Euros again. Of course there were real quality moments with the likes of teenage sensation Michelle Agyemang, Chloe Kelly's sublime crosses and Hannah Hampton's penalty heroics, but it’s safe to say that these Lionesses will forever be the Queens of Europe, no matter what and their legacy is sure to live on. Thank you Lionesses for everything! ITS COMING HOME!!!!

Lionesses fans have arrived back in Dover after an epic 3 day coach trip from Birmingham to Basel (picking up at various points along the way) to see the Lionesses bring it home once more. We left Dover at 6.40pm on Saturday, arrived in Calais and drove through the night to arrive in Basel at 10am on Sunday morning. 30 minutes after the trophy lift, we were back on the coach to drive back to Calais for our 11.10am ferry home. We named our coach...Sarina, and yes, we brought it home.
