Francesca Ogilvie scored Aberdeen's first, and set up the second, goal

Aberdeen got off to winning ways in their first post-split fixture with a 2-0 victory over struggling Dundee United.

Under the lights at Pittodrie, the visitors had to hold firm and kept out Scott Booth's side in the first half to head into the break level.

It took 56 minutes for Aberdeen to break the deadlock when Francesca Ogilvie rose highest in the box to head beyond Beth Rennie.

Ogilvie then set up Dons captain Hannah Stewart for the second. Stewart got her head to Ogilvie's cross into the box to double the hosts' advantage.
