"It's unique. It's regularly sold out and it has helped us countless times over the years," he said.

"We need a good result against Atletico and we're pretty sure our supporters want to make that happen and create a good atmosphere.

"So we want to pay them back."

In a largely underwhelming performance from Borussia Dortmund in Madrid last week, one man stood out and that man was Jadon Sancho.

The England international was a constant menace to the Atletico Madrid defence and was pushing his side to find a way back into the tie.

Now just a goal down, Sancho may be the player to inspire his side to reach the last four.

PSG's record against the Spanish champions is W4, D4, L6.

There have been 127 occasions when a team suffered a 3-2 home defeat in the first leg of a two-legged Uefa European knockout tie. Only six have ever recovered to progress.

Xavi and Luis Enrique were teammates for Barcelona and Spain. Enrique's first season as Barca manager was Xavi's final as a player at the club (2014-15).

They won the treble of Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey that season.

Parfitt: Rooting for Atletico Madrid tonight. Griezmann such a top drawer player and in fine form. And, much more importantly, such good hair.

There's a lot to be said for a great haircut, Parfitt!

Bayern Munich v Arsenal: Kane's 'focus is trying to beat a really good side'

Harry Kane says Bayern Munich's season will be a failure if they do not win the Champions League.

Bayern host Arsenal tomorrow in their quarter-final second leg, with the tie level at 2-2.

The German side only have the Champions League to play for after their run of 11 successive Bundesliga titles was ended by Bayer Leverkusen last weekend.

"We still have an opportunity to turn this season into a great season if we win the Champions League," said Kane.

"Of course, from the club's point of view it will be a failed season if we don't win anything this year because we're expected to win.

"But all we can do is take that into next year and try and turn that around."

It was astonishing [in the first leg] for a young kid just coming out of school, going out on the biggest stage, and playing like it was any other game.

Antoine Griezmann has been in fine form in the Champions League this season for Atletico Madrid this season and already has six goals to his name.

Another goal for the Frenchman will take him level with Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane at the top of the charts.

Borussia Dortmund will have to keep Griezmann quiet if they are to reach the semi-finals tonight.

Bundesliga: Bayer Leverkusen's Xavi Alonso drenched in surprise celebration during presser

Bayer Leverkusen's quest for a German championship title has been a rollercoaster ride through history, often ending in heartbreak.

In 2000, they famously stumbled at the finish line at minnows Unterhaching, a small club in the suburbs of Munich, as the moniker "Neverkusen" made the rounds for the first time.

Two years later, Leverkusen even managed to miss three chances to win silverware within a few days, manifesting the image of a club that would always come up short.

Fast forward to this season and any lingering doubts about Leverkusen's ability to handle the pressure were swiftly dispelled weeks before Sunday's title success.

Under the leadership of Xabi Alonso, their dominance has been relentless, marching towards their maiden domestic championship with an air of inevitability.

They've been a juggernaut, unbeaten thus far, eyeing not just the Bundesliga crown but also tantalising prospects of a treble, with the German Cup and Europa League also still within reach.

  17. Could tonight impact the UEFA coefficients?published at 19:21 British Summer Time 16 April

A lot has been said about UEFA coefficients this term and whether the Premier League will gain an extra Champions League qualification spot.

In a nutshell, the better the English sides do in Europe, the higher the chance of that happening. As it stands, England are third in the coefficient table, behind Italy and Germany.

Should Atletico Madrid eliminate Borussia Dortmund tonight, one less German side will be in Europe, increasing the chances of England overtaking them in the coefficient table.

It's a double-edged sword, however, with Spain breathing down England's neck in terms of coefficients too.

This is all before you consider that England and Germany go head-to-head in the Champions League and Europa League this week, with Arsenal tied at 2-2 ahead of Wednesday's second leg at Bayern Munich and West Ham needing to overturn a 2-0 aggregate score against newly-crowned Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.

    Got a headache? Yeah, same.
