David McGoldrick scored twice as Notts County came from behind to win at Swindon.

Swindon drew first blood as new-boy Gavin Kilkenny took just 21 minutes to slam in his maiden Robins goal as the former Bournemouth midfielder drove forward and picked his spot from 20 yards out.

Seconds earlier, Joel Cotterill had volleyed just wide after teeing himself up with a gorgeous flick over a defender’s head.

Magpies striker McGoldrick, 36, levelled in the 30th minute when he worked some space on the edge of the box and lasered into the top corner.

A flowing move started by the lively Kilkenny then saw Ollie Clarke’s curler clutched by Alex Bass.

After the break, Paul Glatzel went wide from a free-kick before Cotterill’s dangerous inswinger was beaten off the line by Bass.

McGoldrick produced the decisive blow 10 minutes from time with another superb strike from distance after a neat touch to lose his marker.
