Top of Women's Championship table: 1. London City Lionesses 41, 2. Birmingham City 39

The Women's Championship title race is a cracker and set for a enthralling finish with two games to go.

London City Lionesses could be promoted on Sunday, depending on the outcome of the games. Here are the games:

    • London City Lionesses v Durham (14:00 BST)
    • Newcastle United v Birmingham (14:00 BST)

London City Lionesses will be promoted on Sunday if:

    • They win and Birmingham lose
    • They win and Birmingham draw

The title race will go to the final day if Birmingham win or if London City Lionesses draw or lose.

Birmingham host London City Lionesses on the final day on 4 May. That would be quite the day, wouldn't it?

  3. 'Nail in the coffin for Palace'published at 13:22 British Summer Time 27 April

HT: Crystal Palace 0-3 West Ham

    Lindsay Johnson
    Ex-England defender on BBC iPlayer

What this Crystal Palace side will have to do is play for pride, play for the badge, the shirt, the club and come out in the second half thinking, 'we're 3-0 down, what can we do about it and how can we get back in the game?'.

There's girls on the pitch who look like they're struggling and the last two goals have really put the nail in the coffin for Crystal Palace.

  4. Postpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 27 April

Coming into this game West Ham were winless in their past 14 Women’s Super League away games (D3 L11), since beating newly promoted Bristol City 2-1 in January 2024.

That run looks set to come to an end.

    Shekiera Martinez, hat-trick (45 mins)

    Crystal Palace are going down...

The hosts are done on the counter again.

Seraina Piubel strides forward and a defence-splitting pass exploits the high Crystal Palace line and leaves Shekiera Martinez through on goal.

She stands Shae Yanez up and drifts round the goalkeeper and taps into the empty net to complete her first-half hat-trick.

    Lindsay Johnson
    Ex-England defender on BBC iPlayer

Excellent goal, really good break from Katrina Gorry.

Shekiera Martinez doesn't even bring her head up, she knows where the goal is. The power and precision is excellent.

    The goalkeeper had no chance.

  14. goal

GOAL - Crystal Palace 0-2 West Hampublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 27 April

    Shekiera Martinez (42 mins)

I was just typing that Crystal Palace have grown into this game and offering quite a bit of threat going forward, but they are done on the break.

Shekiera Martinez is fed in down the right channel. She's on one-on-one with the defender and chops back onto her left foot and just lifts over Shae Yanez and into the top corner. It's a superb finish and Martinez has two.

Crystal Palace are now around 50 minutes from the second tier.

  16. Postpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 27 April

    Liverpool 1-2 Tottenham

Marie Hobinger is fouled on the edge of the area and Liverpool have a set piece in a promising position.

Hobinger takes it but she hits it into the Tottenham wall and it rolls behind for a corner.

  17. Postpublished at 13:09 British Summer Time 27 April

    Liverpool 1-2 Tottenham

Beth England goes on a driving run towards the Liverpool goal.

She swings an early cross into the box but Matilda Vinberg just mistimes her jump and the ball runs out of play.

  18. CLOSE!published at 13:08 British Summer Time 27 April

    Crystal Palace 0-1 West Ham

Palace should be level. Ashleigh Weerden has got this all wrong.

She finds space in the middle and should just finish from a few yards out but she swings at fresh air with her left foot and West Ham are able to scramble clear.

  19. Postpublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 27 April

    Liverpool 1-2 Tottenham

This is Liverpool's last home game of the campaign, they won't want it to end in a defeat.

  20. Postpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 27 April

    Crystal Palace 0-1 West Ham

Palace are having a decent little spell.

Ashleigh Weerden sends another left-footed cross into the area but it drifts over everybody.

    A little wasteful that.
