When Ashleigh Weerden picked it up I thought it was good pressure and I could just see the West Ham goalkeeper off her line.

It didn't drop enough, but It shows intent and that's what Crystal Palace have to do.

The second half begins at St Helens Stadium.

Crystal Palace have to be in the here and now, and they find themselves 1-0 down.

If they're going to do down, they have to go down fighting.

Crystal Palace forward Ashleigh Weerden picks up and ball and drives forward. She picks out Clarissa Larisey on the left but her cross finds nobody and West Ham counter.

Viviane Asseyi is one on one with her defender and chops onto her right foot and tries to curl into the top corner but it goes well over the bar.

Crystal Palace have lost 12 times, and drawn once, when conceding the opening goal in the WSL today.

They'll need to improve on that record or they will be relegated back to the second tier this afternoon.

Clarissa Larisey has been Palace's brightest spark so far.

They try to find her again with a ball in behind but there's too much on it and it drifts out of play for a goal kick.

It's a really good break from Crystal Palace on this right-hand side.

Katie Stengel hits it first time but really good save from Kinga Szemik down to her right.

Good signs from Palace.

Almost 1-1.

It is the first time we've seen the hosts for a while but this is a really good counter-attack.

Clarissa Laris­ey does well to power past her marker and then clips a delicious ball to the on-rushing Katie Stengel at the back post.

She finds the target but Kinga Szemik is down to brilliantly push away and then Stengel can only put the follow-up wide.

Brilliant run. Riko Ueki manages to get in behind the two Crystal Palace centre-backs and she tries to poke past Shae Yanez but can't get enough on it.

The flag then goes up for offside anyway.

Shekeira Martinez has been a threat all game, she's looked dangerous. It's looked like if anything was going to happen, it'd be through her.

She's the one who wants it more than everyone else.

It's a really good goal from West Ham and Martinez.

The whistle blows for half time.

Liverpool went in front early on but Tottenham lead at the break after two goals in six minutes.

As it stands Crystal Palace would be relegated from the Women's Super League today.

Taylor Hinds crosses into the box but there is a handball so Liverpool have a free-kick on the edge of the area.

Marie Hobinger takes the set piece and it is headed clear.

It's fantastic for West Ham that they can still push for fifth. It's going to be difficult but they can still do that.

They've got Viviane Asseyi, Riko Ueki and Shekiera Martinez working together and it shows how they can push on in this league.

Lize Kop is almost caught out by yet another Jenna Clark strike.

This one is from long range and Kop just about manages to get her hand to it.

The Liverpool corner is taken short to Fuka Nagano and Taylor Hinds swings it in but Kop catches.

There will be four minutes added on at the end of this first half.
