    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou speaking to TNT Sports about Dominic Solanke: "He has got a really strong mindset. He is a quiet guy but has a real clear focus. The way he takes his penalty is indicative of the person he is. He works so hard for the team. I live that he gets the goal, a reward for the hard work he does. When you think of the goal that we conceded that becomes even more important for us.

"Hopefully [the injury] it's nothing too serious. That's just the way our season is going, nothing is straightforward. We wanted to take them [Solanke and Maddison] off, speaking to them both hopefully it is nothing too serious."

On the late goal: "Disappointing in that they hadn't created much. I still walk away thinking about the performance. Against Frankfurt I thought we were three or four goals better here but we didn't take that there. The lads will think the same tonight. If we play the way we did tonight over there then we will get the result that we need."

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everything changed by the end of the game. It was really muted applause here, muted celebrations apart from in the yellow corner and they know they've got a real chance.

It's the old adage of don't be 2-0 up at half-time because that's a horrible team talk. It's going to be a tough one because Ange Postecoglou, if he can get his team out, I think they'll be alright because they can see it through and they've got enough.

The drop off is that big from Dominic Solanke, from James Maddison. It's just not the same side.

  6. 'Spurs know what they need to do in second leg'published at 22:49 British Summer Time

    FT: Tottenham 3-1 Bodo/Glimt

    Andros Townsend
Former Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm hoping the fact it's the second leg they have to play on the artificial pitch because Spurs now go there with a two-goal buffer., they know what they need to do.

They can sit behind the ball, they showed they can do that against Frankfurt a few weeks ago. They can use the pace on the counter like they did tonight,. The front three were unbelievable.

I think it's easier going there in the second leg rather than the first leg.

Bodo/Glimt have scored in each of their last 13 games in the Europa League, scoring 25 goals in that run.

They'll be feeling confident on their artificial pitch next week.

  8. 'We need to go there and put on a performance'published at 22:46 British Summer Time

    FT: Tottenham 3-1 Bodo/Glimt

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke speaking to TNT Sports: "Pleased with the performance. We know they are a good team at home. We know that it is a tough place to go so it is nice to have a lead.

"It's always nice to score, especially in these big games. It is that bit more special.

"It wasn't ideal conceding that late on. We wanted to keep the clean sheet and take the 3-0 lead there. We lacked a bit of concentration in the end and let them get that goal.

"It doesn't change things much. We know that we need to go there and put on performance and get the job done."

Fantastic result for United, but really should have killed the tie with at least one more goal. Not quite decisive enough in that second half. I know I'm being greedy but 3-0 just doesn't feel that comfortable!! I guess 3-1 is even less so...

  11. 'We want our fans to travel twice to Bilbao'published at 22:42 British Summer Time

FT: Athletic Bilbao 0-3 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, speaking to TNT Sports: "You can never predict a scoreline like that. Very tough team, the atmosphere was crazy. I knew they were very passionate, but never knew it was like this.

"The result for us was unbelievable. We should push a bit more in that second half, but we controlled the game and that is good."

"For us, it was brilliant to stay on the ball and they won't press as they preferred. If they press we could play through them. We were a little slow on the ball, but they wanted to keep the result like this to try come back in the next game."

On his goal involvements: "I knew I was around the thirties, but I didn't know how much exactly. It is a big part of my game and I need to take that responsibility. The club bought me cause I scored 32 goals in a season.

"Sporting is massive club, but United is a global club. Unbelievable the attention and pressure we get.

"I feel the pressure. That's the good thing about football and that's what we have to enjoy. When I finish my career that will go away and I will be much more relaxed.

"When I die I will have a lot of time to lay down with myself!"

On Harry Maguire: "What a winger! I don't think he even knew he had that in his locker.

"Harry is a much more confident man now. When he is playing, his position is becoming more strong, he is a very good leader and we hope he keeps improving."

On final hopes: "We want our fans to travel twice to Bilbao."

On Harry Maguire's involvement for Manchester United's first goal...

The shimmy, the chops, I had to look twice! It looked like it was Alejandro Garnacho. It was so smooth and it wasn't stiff. Unbelievable.

More from Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, speaking to TNT Sports: "The tie is not done...I'm sure Old Trafford will be like this place [for the second leg].

"It was nice to do a bit of dribbling out there [that led to the first goal].

"They must have trusted me to put in the cross."

Such was Chelsea's confidence in this dominant win against Djurgarden, that they brought on 16-year-old academy midfielder Reggie Walsh for his debut.

Walsh almost scored with his first touch as he became the third youngest player to play for the Blues and the youngest since 1967.

I am trying to verify whether he is the youngest Chelsea player to play in Europe but it seems likely that is also true.

    Chelsea

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca speaking to TNT Sports: "It was the perfect night, an important semi-final and it is a good result. We need to be focused on the second leg.

On his side's performance: "The first 70 minutes was good but then in the last 20 minutes we dropped a little bit but we cannot drop, we cannot relax because otherwise it is complicated. We have done a good job but now we need to finish the job at home.

On managing the minutes of his players: "We try to manage players, we know that we need to protect players. We decide to start in one way and to finish in a different way. I think it worked well. But now we have a game in two days, three days. We are going to arrive back in London at 5am in the morning and we have a game on Sunday so we need to recover the energy.

On Nicolas Jackson scoring twice: "He is confident, he scores and he is better."

On giving Reggie Walsh his Chelsea debut: "He is young, he looks very good but he needs to continue to work and learn and grow."

On whether everyone is fit and ready to face Liverpool on Sunday: "I think so, from tonight's game, yes."

  16. 'A professional performance'published at 22:32 British Summer Time

Bilbao started the game the better and it was only when Casemiro gave United the lead the tide turned.

The game had turned just before the red card happened. Man Utd learned the lesson that they almost suffered against Lyon. There was no risks today - a very professional performance.

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at San Mames

There's no way a team of Man Utd stature should lose 15 games in a Premier League season. When things like that happen criticism will come but there's no way you can criticise them for the way they've played in this Europa League.

They're still the only team unbeaten in the Europa League. If only they played on a Thursday night every night for their fans.

FT: Athletic Bilbao 0-3 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim, speaking to TNT Sports: "The result is really good, but we have to understand the result at the same time.

"We struggled a lot at the beginning and the sending off changed the game.

"Any game can change with one situation. We had an opportunity to score one more. This is not done and they can do the same at Old Trafford.

"They're really strong and intense. We need to be prepared.

"Manuel Ugarte with a lot of experience was a little nervous, Patrick [Dorgu] was nervous.

"Players like Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes help a lot."

On Harry Maguire: "He's a good winger!

"Sometimes there is moments in our life and Harry has had difficult moments. Everything he does is good for the team, so we have to enjoy."

On the second leg: "Of course we are have an advantage. We have our fans, but again this could change.

"Anything can happen in one game.

"We need to be really careful with our players against Brentford. Noussair Mazraoui is dead, Patrick Dorgu is tried - we have to manage the players."
