Now, we hear opening remarks from England manager Thomas Tuchel.
He starts by quoting Pele, that "Wembley is the heart, the cathedral of football. He is absolutely right."
We start with opening remarks from FA chief executive Mark Bullingham. He says they have appointed "one of the very best managers in the world" to the England job.
He describes Tuchel as "outstanding", and that he provided a "clear vision" for what he planned for the England team.
Bullingham also thanks Lee Carsley, saying the interim manager has "handled himself really well".

We are all set for the arrival of Thomas Tuchel. It's a full house at Wembley ahead of the German's unveiling at 13:30 BST.
I think it's fair to say there are a few more faces here than normal for a press conference.

The appointment of Tuchel is an admission by the FA that the very expensive St George's Park project has failed to develop any elite English coaches.

Thomas Tuchel has a strong record with elite level clubs - across his time in charge of Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, he has won more than half of his matches in charge of clubs in the top division of their national leagues.
If Tuchel can carry this record over to major international tournaments, England will be well placed.
Only one England manager has a better win percentage in major tournaments than Tuchel's 57% in top flight football - and that is the man who guided the Three Lions to 1966 World Cup glory.

England have moaned about our previous lack of winning mentality and cutting edge. Tuchel brings this in spades and isn’t afraid of tough decisions in the interest of success and titles. I would love to see an English manager lead us to a trophy, but there doesn’t seem to be a readily available and capable candidate to step into the role. Let’s back Tommy Tuchel.

I don't think there's a single former Chelsea player who's looking at this and thinking 'maybe I can't get in here'.
I think people like Mason Mount, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Raheem Stelring - he really liked Raheem Sterling as well. These guys must be thinking 'this is my chance, I'm delighted, I hope he picks me'.
Thomas Tuchel also loves English talent.
What will Mason Mount be thinking? During his time at Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel got the best out of the 25-year-old.
The Manchester United midfielder has 36 caps but his last came in the World Cup quarter-final defeat to France in 2022.
In 56 games under Tuchel at Chelsea, Mount scored 15 times and provided 12 assists.
Will Tuchel's arrival pave the way back into the England fold for Mount?

There is a debate around the longevity of Harry Kane in the England team but under Tuchel when he had his first season at Bayern Munich he had one of the best seasons of his career - he scored 44 goals in 45 games.
If he's able to replicate that ratio of scoring for England they'll get very close to achieving something under Tuchel.
Thomas Tuchel inherits a strong pool of England players from Gareth Southgate and Lee Carsley - albeit one in some degree of transition.
Of Southgate's key lieutenants, Kyle Walker is one of the biggest questions - he will be 36 by the 2026 World Cup finals. Notable for his pace and fitness, it remains to be seen whether Walker is still operating at the very top level.
The elephant in the room is Harry Kane, who will turn 33 a few days after the World Cup final. Kane looked tired and unfit as he struggled at times during Euro 2024, but is England's all-time record scorer and continues to produce for club and country - most recently two goals against Finland in his 100th international appearance.
At the other end of the age scale, younger players like Rico Lewis, Marc Guehi, Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer may provide a base from which Tuchel can build an England team in his image.
Those on the fringes under Carsley, like Kobbie Mainoo and Jarrad Branthwaite, could also become more prominent, while Morgan Rogers, Jamie Gittens and Leif Davis are among those uncapped Englishmen hoping for a shot under the new boss.
Thomas Tuchel will be in the dark about who his England side will line up against for his first match in charge during the March international break.
England are currently second in their Uefa Nations League group. If they remain behind Greece, they will have to face a third-placed side from League A in a two-legged play-off to gain promotion from League B.
As it stands, Tuchel's England career will begin in March against one of Poland, Belgium, Hungary or Serbia.
If England overhaul the Greeks however, they will be starting their 2026 World Cup qualification in March.
The Uefa qualifying system features groups of four or five, with the groups of five (exclusively featuring teams not involved in Nations League play-offs) commencing in March, while the groups of four begin in the September window. Both types of group conclude in November 2025.
Either way, Tuchel will be in at the deep end with an important, competitive game to start his England reign.

Thomas Tuchel has regularly appeared to have ruffled feathers at the clubs where he has managed but often that seems to have been connected to transfer strategy. That won’t be an issue at England.
However he will begin with a reputation for not being frightened to upset people, which might be a bad thing.
At Chelsea, when Roman Abramovich’s time as owner suddenly and dramatically ended, Tuchel came across as mightily impressive - statesmanlike almost - when all about him seemed to be crumbling. These were just the kind of qualities he will be expected to display as the England manager and will surely have been noted by the FA.
But in the first sentence of their media release to announce his appointment, they describe Tuchel as a Champions League winner. They have employed a big-time winner to take the final step Gareth Southgate’s England couldn’t. So Tuchel’s remit is clear - not to reach the last four, the semi-finals, or be runners-up; he’s being employed to win the 2026 World Cup.

Some people describe it as pragmatic [Tuchel's managerial style] - it's very organised. Every player knows exactly what they have to do.
I was at the Arsenal v Bayern Munich game last season in the Champions League when Tuchel was manager and if a player doesn't play a pass that they've rehearsed in traiing and their patterns of play, he'll be bouncing up and down in the technical area, He's very animated in there. He's a very passionate guy and he expects that from his players.
It's very organised, very structured, getting the ball forward quickly but in international football being pragmatic can get you far.
Thomas Tuchel has played with a back four for most of his managerial career; his most recent charges, Bayern Munich, primarily lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation under him.
This could benefit the players who have come into the England squad under Lee Carsley after Euro 2024, with the Three Lions lining up in a 4-2-3-1 to start both Nations League wins over Finland. Angel Gomes, introduced to the England squad by Carsley having been key to his under-21 side, could continue to be called upon by Tuchel.
However he has shown a willingness to use other systems where the players suit it - his Chelsea side notably lined up with a back three for many matches - while Tuchel is also known for his tactical flexibility.
This could suit players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has been deployed in several different roles during his England career across full back and midfield.
If England do line up in a back three, it could lengthen the international career of 34-year-old Kyle Walker, who often played at right centre back in this formation.
The left side would be a bigger question, with Levi Colwill a contender in a central or full back role. The position of Bukayo Saka - who played at wing back in some Euros games despite it being far from his favourite role - will also be one to watch.
Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer, who is an Arsenal fan, started PMQs by addressing the House of Commons with a message of congratulations to former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
"The whole House will join me in wishing the best of luck to the new England manager Thomas Tuchel," Starmer said.
"I won't hold his old job against him, but I wish him well in the new one."

I personally don’t see Tuchel as the elite manager everyone else does. Winning at PSG and Bayern is a given (even if Bayern's winning streak ended with him). While the Champions League final was a masterclass, that is one game and Frank Lampard also played his part in that competition before being sacked. He wasn’t at Chelsea long enough or any club to establish his credentials for me. Wish him well though, hope it works out.

Thomas Tuchel had a fantastic relationship with former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, who has celebrated the German's return to English football.
The former leader at Stamford Bridge said: "Thomas knows trophies. Congratulations TT and World Cup 2026 just got more exciting!"
Tuchel won the Champions League and Club World Cup at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel is a proven manager who should get us playing more attacking football, yet with solidity. I don't mind him not being English but straight away from quotes I've seen, pressure is put on him to win the World Cup. In tournaments the best teams don't always win. Things happen. I just want to see good attacking football with common sense substitutions, then see where it takes us.
