So what's the latest on that? Let's dive right in....
Tottenham have agreed a £5 million deal to sign Japan international Kota Takai from J-League side Kawasaki Frontale.
The 20-year-old centre-back is expected to arrive at the club next month and will be part of Thomas Frank's first-team squad.
Takai - who has two caps for Japan's senior side - will compete for minutes alongside Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso and Radu Dragusin.
Leeds United have made their second signing of the summer as they continue to strengthen before their Premier League return.
Slovenia centre-back Jaka Bijol joins from Udinese for an undisclosed fee, with the 26-year-old signing a five-year deal.
Earlier in the window Leeds signed forward Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer from Wolfsburg.
On Monday Crystal Palace completed their first signing of the summer.
The FA Cup winners signed Argentina goalkeeper Walter Benitez from PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer. The 32-year-old will move to Selhurst Park when his PSV contract expires on 1 July.
Benitez - who was an ever-present in PSV's league campaign as they won the Eredivisie title and started 11 of their 12 Champions League matches last term - will compete with England's Dean Henderson to be number one.
It has been eight days since the summer transfer window re-opened, so what are the big deals that have been completed?
The one we've all been waiting for finally happened, with German midfielder Florian Wirtz joining Liverpool in a club-record £116m move.
After selling striker Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, Wolves spent £19m to sign 21-year-old forward Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo.
Bournemouth signed left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes in a £14.4m deal, while Brighton snapped up Italy and Hellas Verona centre-back Diego Coppola for an undisclosed fee.
