PSV Eindhoven 3-2 Liverpool
Ismael Saibari has the chance to put some distance between his side and Liverpool but Tyler Morton makes a brilliant block to deny the Morocco forward.
Martinez hat-trick confirms Inter Milan place in last 16
Lautaro Martinez scored a hat-trick as Inter Milan confirmed their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a comfortable victory against Monaco, who had to settle for a place in the knockout round.
The Argentine scored twice in the first half and once in the second, in doing so overtaking Adriano to become Inter's all-time leading goalscorer in the Champions League.
Inter needed only a point to avoid the play-off round and effectively wrapped up the match in the first 20 minutes as they capitalised on shoddy Monaco defending and secured a fourth-placed finish.
Captain Martinez scored from the penalty spot in the fourth minute after Marcus Thuram was fouled from behind by Denis Zakaria.
Monaco defender Christian Mawissa was then sent off in the 12th minute after he hauled down Thuram and Martinez swept in his second four minutes later.
Martinez added a third in the 67th minute by tapping in the rebound after Henrikh Mkhitaryan's shot was saved.
That took the World Cup-winner level with Sandro Mazzola, who scored 17 goals between 1960 and 1977, as Inter's leading scorer in the history of European football's top-tier competition across both the Champions League and European Cup eras.
He had chances for further goals before being substituted in the 76th minute with the Milan derby to come on Saturday.
Inter, beaten finalists in 2023, progress with six wins from eight matches and an impressive seven clean sheets. They have only conceded once across the entire league phase.
They could face city rivals AC Milan in the last 16. PSV Eindhoven, Feyenoord and Juventus are their other potential opponents.
Monaco finished 17th and will play Paris St-Germain or Benfica in the knockout round.
Martinez has scored five goals in this season's Champions League

Internazionale have won their two previous home games in European competition against Monaco, winning 1-0 in the 1963-64 European Cup round of 16 and 3-1 in the 1996-97 UEFA Cup semi-finals.
Monaco lost each of their first three games against Internazionale in European competition but did win their most recent meeting with them in April 1997 in the UEFA Cup.
Internazionale are unbeaten in their last 12 home matches in the UEFA Champions League (W10 D2), their longest unbeaten run on home soil in the European Cup/Champions League since September 1963-September 2002 (no defeats in their first 28 such matches).
Monaco have only won one of their last 10 away matches in the UEFA Champions League (D4 L5), although that lone victory did come in Italy this season, winning 1-0 at Bologna in November.
Internazionale haven’t conceded a goal in any of their last five home matches in the UEFA Champions League. The last team to keep six consecutive home clean sheets in the competition was Atlético de Madrid in September 2016 (6), while the last Italians side to do so was Juventus in September 2005 (6).
Monaco have won four of their seven games in the UEFA Champions League this season (D1 L2), including a victory over Aston Villa last time out. Their 57% win rate is currently their highest in a single Champions League campaign to date.
19-year-old Eliesse Ben Seghir has played in all seven of Monaco’s games in the UEFA Champions League this season, starting in six of them. The only teenager to play more minutes than Ben Seghir for the club in a single Champions League campaign is Kylian Mbappé (536 in 2016-17).
Lautaro Martínez has scored 14 UEFA Champions League goals for Inter, the joint-most of any player, alongside Adriano. When including the European Cup, only Sandro Mazzola (17) has more in Europe’s premier competition for the Italian side.
Monaco have had four goals scored by defenders in the UEFA Champions League this season (Wilfried Singo x2, Thilo Kehrer, and Mohammed Salisu); the most of any team in the 2024-25 edition.
Yann Sommer has kept six clean sheets in seven UEFA Champions League games this season. The only goalkeeper to record more in a single European Cup/Champions League campaign for Inter is André Onana, who kept eight in 13 appearances in 2022-23.
