    Highlights: Spain 2-1 France

While England were perceived to be in the 'easy half' of the Euro 2024 draw, Spain's route to the final could not have been more difficult.

In the group stage, they beat 2018 World Cup semi-finalists Croatia and defending European champions Italy.

Then in the quarter-finals they beat hosts Germany - who were arguably the second-best team in the Euros - and in the semi-finals eliminated 2018 world champions France.

Not only that but they have won all six games without the need for penalties. No team have managed that in one European Championship before.

They are also the top scorers in the tournament with 13 goals.

Spain also have history in the Euros, winning it in 1964, 2008 and 2012. They are bidding to become the first nation to win it four times.

Sometimes kids come along and you only need one look at them to realise they've got it - that special something where you know they belong at the highest level.

Kobbie Mainoo is one of those kids.

Kobbie's age and lack of experience is almost irrelevant. He already plays way beyond his years. He knows he belongs at this level and it is like nothing fazes him at all.

On Sunday, he is going to be playing in a European Championship final as a teenager but there is no way the size of the occasion is going to intimidate him.

What were you doing at 16? Maybe let's not go there, but for Lamine Yamal, it's been a pretty memorable few weeks.

Watch some of the best moments so far from Spain's teenage sensation, including a stunning goal and three assists, as his side gear up to face England in the Euro 2024 final in Berlin on Sunday.

The story about Barcelona's interest in signing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams was covered in Friday's edition of Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The front page read: "Offensive for Nico (after the European cup): In Barca there is consensus on his signing and after the final in Berlin they will go with everything for the Athletic star."

Barcelona don't have much money but they're trying to get Nico Williams to move from Athletic Bilbao for next season to be reunited with Lamine Yamal. It's not even just on the pitch because, off the pitch as well, they are like brothers and I think the Spanish FA is doing a great job of showing that brotherhood they have - there's a lot of videos about.

All the angles of Yamal's 'unbelievable goal'

England have done well to get to this final, but this is a test on a totally different scale.

I have covered Spain numerous times at these Euros and they have been the outstanding side at this tournament.

Nothing would please me more than seeing England get over the line and for Southgate to fly home as a European champion, but I have not been backing them blindly throughout and I am not going to start now.

I am going with Spain to win, because they are in sync, they have been so superior so far… and I don’t see England stopping them.

    Sutton’s prediction: Spain 2-1 England

I'll be on the lookout for any clues in training about what Gareth Southgate could do with his team ahead of the final.

We took the clue about the back five ahead of the match against Switzerland and there has been occasions when part of the starting 11 have trained and warmed up together.

The England manager and his coaching staff won't want to give anything away to Spain so I can imagine this will be a lot of warming up and group passing drills until we leave.

BBC Radio 5 Live's rugby union pundit Paul Grayson took time out from his work covering England's tour of New Zealand to speak to Patrick Kielty on his Saturday morning show.

The former Northampton Saints coach drew comparisons between Gareth Southgate's Three Lions and Steve Borthwick's current England rugby union side, who got over early criticism to reach the semi-finals in the 2023 World Cup.

Borthwick's young group earned further plaudits earlier today with a promising display in New Zealand, pushing the All Blacks all the way at Eden Park before finally falling to a 24-17 defeat.

Grayson believe Southgate's men are further along in their development and ready to earn a first piece of silverware for the country since the 1966 World Cup.

"First and foremost, as an Englishman, to be in another final, with the profile of our team, I think this could become a regular happening," he said.

"They are youthful and exuberant. Gareth, in the last game [against the Netherlands in the semi-finals], really found his mojo.

"My score prediction? Real time, England to win 2-1. No extra-time, done and dusted."

Benjamin and son Fabian, Germany fans: "We want England to win. They have Harry Kane and he is the best English player. We also don't like Spain because they beat Germany.

"This is England's second final after the last Euros so I believe the win is coming for them this time.

"I predict a comfortable 3-0 win with Harry Kane scoring twice and Jude Bellingham also scoring."

Who do neutral fans want to win?

Anders, Denmark fan: "I am a Denmark supporter, but I wasn't particularly impressed with how Denmark played at this tournament.

"I don't have a strong feeling who I want to win on Sunday, I think Spain have played the most entertaining football during the Euros so I am probably rooting for them.

"However, England played pretty well in the semi-final. If they play similar or better in the final and win then I wouldn't have any issues. I just want to see the deserving winner.

"My son, August, wants England to win because he is a very big fan of Phil Foden."
