Aston Villa v Leicester (14:00 BST)

    • Aston Villa have won five of their previous six WSL meetings with Leicester City, drawing the most recent 2-2 at the Bescot Stadium in March this year.
    • Robert de Pauw could be the first Aston Villa manager to fail to win any of their first four games in the WSL (D1 L2 so far) while the Villans could win none of their opening four league games for the second season in succession (L4 in 2023-24).
    • Leicester City have failed to score in their last two WSL games, including last time out against newly promoted Crystal Palace; the Foxes last went three straight league matches without netting in March 2023, with the third game in that run a 5-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
    • Leicester City manager Amandine Miquel has seen her side score just once across her first three WSL games in charge of the Foxes, the fewest goals netted in a manager’s opening three matches in the competition since Scott Booth in September 2021 (also 1 with Birmingham City).

Nothing sentimental about this performance from Manchester United as it's Maya Le Tissier who steps up to the spot rather than Elisabeth Terland, who's on for a hat-trick.

She doesn't seem to mind at all. The Norway striker is the first to celebrate with Le Tissier, sprinting towards her with arms up and a smile on her face.

Man Utd found a way late on in the first half to get into the game and now they're building on it.

The captain's duty has been passed on from Katie Zelem to Maya Le Tissier. They're polishing off with what's been an excellent performance bar the first 25 minutes.

Brian Sorensen pumps his fist on the touchlineImage source, Reuters

Everton boss Brian Sorensen has said that his side's preparations to face West Ham on Sunday were "tougher" than those done before their away trip to Arsenal last weekend.

While both sides remain winless heading into their fourth game of the season, Sorensen says that the "unpredictability" of West Ham makes the challenge more difficult.

"West Ham have quality up front and can hurt you. They are direct at times and are unpredictable," he said.

Sorensen added, "I think it could be an even tougher job trying to control it at West Ham than going to the Emirates because of the unpredictability of their game."

"They maybe have the same problem we do where they don’t score as much as they create," he added.
