I'm told Leicester City have enquired about taking Liverpool full-back Lucy Parry in on loan for the season.

It's unlikely to happen as Liverpool are not keen to let her go, even if they are pushing to bring in Manchester City's Risa Shimizu on loan.

Liverpool's loan agreement with Barcelona teenager Emilia Szymczak is moving on nicely though.

Everton have had a hugely successful window and wrapped up their club-record signing Ruby Mace yesterday.

We expect that to be the final piece of business on Finch Farm, but never say never in a transfer window…

Arsenal’s youngsters have been finalising loan moves in the last few days so a few more are expected to be announced including Maddy Earl to Ipswich and Cecily Wellesley-Smith to Leicester City.

The club also did their business early and at the moment, we’re not expecting any late moves. They have been linked with Frankfurt’s Géraldine Reuteler by trustworthy source Arseblog, but there appears to be no movement on that so far.

However, Arsenal have a tendency to spark late drama by accelerating moves for future targets when things shift in the window. I would not rule them out.

Would be great to see Maddy Earl go on loan to Ipswich from Arsenal (rumoured) and hopefully get given more opportunities than last season's loan spells. Real talent. In a dream land I wish it was Durham and not Ipswich!

Let's throw this in the mix. Nottingham Forest Women have had two successive promotions. Now in WSL2. Lots of transfer activity already. Clearly looking to push on again. Would love to see Mary Earps come to her hometown team. Maybe a year too soon but a man can dream.

  6. Tsunoda 'needs time to settle'published at 10:10 British Summer Time

Brighton manager Dario Vidosic has warned that new signing Fuka Tsunoda should not be expected to slot straight into the first team.

The central midfielder is the third Japanese player at Brighton, after defender Moeka Minami and midfielder Kiko Seike, who he will look to to provide guidance to their international team mate.

"It all happened today but has been in the works a while," Vidosic told his media conference today. "She needs time to settle in and learn the language.

"We have two other Japanese internationals so she has support here. Today is my first chance to see her in training, and we will bring her up to speed as soon as possible."

Brighton will definitely be without another new signing, Maelys Mpome who they have acquired from Chelsea, as she recovers from injury.

I wasn't 100% sure what to expect of Brighton last year. They stamped their authority in the league to be in that top six and that is what they should be aiming for.

They had their best finish ever in the WSL. They have lost Nikita Parris but they've got Michelle Agyemang back on loan which is great for her and the club. All eyes will be on her, superstar at the Euros, she has something to prove as well.

I think they will be aiming for top four.

  8. 'Excitement machine' Agyemang returns to Brightonpublished at 10:02 British Summer Time

Fuka Tsunoda was the seventh signing Brighton made in this transfer window, but perhaps the most eye-catching is the re-signing of Michelle Agyemang on loan from Arsenal.

Agyemang became a household name during Euro 2025 as her late equalisers against Sweden and Italy helped save the Lionesses on their way to a second successive title.

Speaking at his media conference earlier, Brighton boss Dario Vidosic said Agyemang will have to learn to deal with greater attention on and off the field this season - but has the talent and mentality to do so.

"She doesn't feel like a new signing," Vidosic said of the striker, who also spent last season on loan at the Seagulls. "And the growth from the Euros, what she did with the national team, she has high ambitions for the season, we will help her as much as we can.

"She is a kid that loves to play, I will protect her as much as possible. I understand the fascination, she is an excitement machine with a nose for goal, she showed that at the Euros.

"But she is young, will face ups and downs, this season will be very different as the attention is a lot closer. But I have no doubt she will be important."

    Haha, thanks Erin.

I'm not collecting panini stickers this year, haven't for a while, but I am doing Fantasy WSL. Maybe you guys could help me pick my team a bit later. I need to win back my family trophy 'Fantasy Quack' who I lost on the final gameweek of last season.

Really sad to see Walti go. An Arsenal legend. But she's played fewer and fewer games as injury has taken it's toll. Probably the right decision but I'll miss her!

  12. London City moving for Geyoropublished at 09:45 British Summer Time

Newly-promoted WSL club London City Lionesses are looking to do a huge move on deadline day as they are in discussions with Paris St-Germain for midfielder Grace Geyoro.

The France international, who has over 100 caps for her country, has been at PSG for her entire career, having come through their youth ranks.

She is a key player for them and one of the most exciting midfielders in Europe, with vast Champions League experience.

Sources in France tell me Geyoro is pushing for a move and is not training with PSG while the two clubs hold discussions.

London City Lionesses owner Michele Kang also owns PSG’s biggest rivals Lyon, so this would be a double-win for her if she can get it over the line. It is expected to be a large fee that has been offered.

I will be so intrigued to see how Arsenal get on against London City [in their opening game] because there is so much hype about them this year. It is a hard game to start.

They have so much strength, I don't know how they will line up. They have so much firepower in the front line, their back line is solid.

They have European success - the biggest success they could have had and they have to turn that into domestic success.

I think we all have high hopes for Arsenal.

Good business from Arsenal to be fair. As beloved as Walti is, she's increasingly injury prone, and heading towards the latter stages of her playing career.

Arsenal will be excited for the new season - Champions League winners, runners-up in the WSL last season.

They are trying to bolster their team but I want to see a few games, I want to see how they line up and how everyone fits in. They have thrown some big money about.

  16. Who is Lia Walti?published at 09:27 British Summer Time

Lia Walti has been a key player for Arsenal during her seven-year stint in north London, making more than 100 appearances and winning three major trophies.

She was part of the squad who won last season's Champions League, although she was an unused substitute in the final.

Walti captained Switzerland in their home Euros this summer and has more than 100 international caps.

    Options, too many options, people.
