Can’t wait for the season start, I’m more of a women’s football supporter so can’t wait to watch them all (until the point Stoke City make it to WSL2/WSL. Up the Potters!) So excited about LCL and to see all that talent. Gutted for Ramirez as well!

West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner has not ruled out a last minute signing arriving at the Hammers today, when I asked at her media conference today whether there are any late transfers planned.
"We are always actively looking, every window we are looking for chances up to the last minute," she said.
Perhaps West Ham's best bit of business this summer has been keeping striker Shekiera Martinez, who scored nine goals in 10 WSL games in the second half of last season.
"We are building the club and these players are so important," Skinner said. "She is a key part of everything we have done. She was fantastic for us last year, and is a key part of our plans."

I think Clinton and Toone vie for the same position in the United team, so the swap with Park makes sense. I'm more disappointed with the failure to bring in Giovanna Hoffmann, as I see United still being light up front.

So excited for the new season of WSL. Arsenal fan but can’t wait to see how London City Lionesses do - incredible signings over the summer with some really experienced players. Man Utd also looking exciting this year too, I’d like to see them challenge the top 3.

West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner had warm words for her former assistant Rick Passmore, who today has been named interim manager of WSL rivals Leicester City.
Passmore left West Ham last week for "personal reasons", and Skinner said the move to the midlands is better for his family.
"The location really helps him out, with what he needs in his life," Skinner said.
"I'm delighted for him, he's a great guy, if we could keep him we would have. But this works out well for him, so good luck to him."
Leicester have signed Australia midfielder Emily van Egmond from Championship side Birmingham on a two-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.
The 32-year-old former West Ham player said: "I've been involved in the game for a number of years now and I'm excited to see what we can do together."

Hoping we're going to get an 11th hour Arsenal bid for a CB or CM - they have been suspiciously quiet.

I'm going to go left field here but Elena Linari for London City Lionesses.
The Italian centre-half is a really great signing as you have to be defensively well structured. She is a great signing and showcased what she is about at the Euros.

City with a fully fit squad will compete for that top spot, as we saw when they beat Barca last season. Recent exciting additions of Kerolin and Beney make this even more possible.

The goal contributions from our first choice forward line was ridiculous last year. Hemp - 10 in 10 games, Bunny - 13 in 14 games, Viv - 8 in 11 games. Keep them fit we've got a strong chance. Can add Clinton as well!

Liverpool have completed the signing of striker Beata Olsson from Kristianstads DFF.
A Sweden U23 international, Olsson has scored nine goals in 15 games already this term.
“It means so much to me," the 24-year-old told Liverpool.com. "This is such an historic football club and the best league in the world and I think it’s a great step for me and I’m so excited to be here.
“I’ve always wanted to play in England and to play for a club like Liverpool is just a dream. So, for me this means the world and I’m very excited to get started and to see what I can contribute.”
Right, time for me to hand back over to Holly Bacon, who may well have news of a new signing...
A reminder that one of the big deals we are watching out for involves London City Lionesses, as they are in discussions with Paris St-Germain for midfielder Grace Geyoro.
The France international, who has won 103 caps, has been at PSG for her entire career, having come through their youth ranks.
The 28-year-old is a key player for them and one of the most exciting midfielders in Europe, with vast Champions League experience.
She started three of France's four matches at Euro 2025, scoring twice as they reached the quarter-finals.
Geyoro is believed to be pushing for a move and is not training with PSG while the two clubs hold discussions.
Newly-promoted side London City Lionesses are prepared to pay a large sum to bring her in.

London City Lionesses have become our new local club, having moved to a groundshare with Bromley FC, so its a perfect opportunity to get behind them, with season tickets purchased (£90 - bargain). There's only one first season in the WSL after all...

I feel like you have to have squad depth. Manchester United have signed some good players, it is about keeping everyone fit.
They are ambitious and have been ambitious for a while. It is about keeping the players fresh, it is a real balance. I am really interested to see how they will do. I am not 100% sure, I feel like top four, just not sure where in that.

I love it, go on London City Lionesses. We are seeing a newly promoted team doing something in the WSL we have never really seen before with their recruitment. They are spending big but also recruiting players who are experienced.
It is really interesting - 14 new signings, that's a lot of players coming in, then it is about the manager - can you get them gelling?
I think they could potentially be a dark horse. I think they could ruffle some feathers. It is something different and exciting that we needed in this league.

Liverpool absolutely need a replacement for Smith. I hope we get the rumoured players, but that still leaves an opening. I really hope we get a lovely shock surprise today and we can add to the excitement ahead of our opening game, a big one, the Merseyside Derby at Anfield!
