St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland:"Very disappointed with the result. We're in a moment where things aren't going right for us.
"There are plenty of good things. I don't know how many chances we need to score a goal. The amount of crosses we put in and half-chances we had, but the disappointing thing is we haven't hit the target often enough - which we work on tirelessly.
"The final product is missing. We have been scoring goals up to now, we've created and missed a lot of chances.
"And we've conceded from their only real chance of the game. We don't deal with the second phase well enough.
"It's a moment. I've been here plenty times at St Mirren and other clubs and it's about getting people together, putting the best team out available to me and working on it over the break."

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "We did it the hard way. The second [Dundee] goal came out of nothing. We had a lot to do at that point with so few minutes left. But boy, we did it.
"It was a brilliant turnaround. Matty Kennedy carried the fight for us, always producing shots and crosses. Rory McKenzie and Brad Lyons ran the game and kept us going. Gary Mackay-Steven, Bruce Anderson and Bobby Wales were terrific.
"It's something I'm maybe guilty of - not making my forward changes quicker - and I accept that. We got the benefit of it today. When we put the ball in the box, it looked like something would happen.
"On the second half, it's no more than my players deserve. We're having to do so much to win a game. I'm delighted to win the game but there's things we need to be better at. It wasn't perfect, but it was a perfect ending."

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin: "Any win away from home is massive. But I don't need to guess what game your guys in the Sportscene studio will be showing last this weekend because it wasn't easy on the eye at times!
"It was a really scrappy game and St Mirren are such a difficult team to play against because of their physicality. They get the ball forward early and you've got to defend your box.
"We didn't do that for a 15-20 minute period last week against Kilmarnock and found ourselves conceding three goals. So, we worked a lot on the defensive shape this week and I thought we defended brilliantly.
"We felt at half-time whoever got that first goal was going to win the game. Thankfully, Manny Adegboyega was the first one to react and head home.
"It's a huge three points. We want to play better and we have played better this season - but you've got to credit the opposition. They don't give you a lot of time on the ball."

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "We didn't show what we can be as a team in the first half, I thought we addressed that right at the start of the second half.
"We then started to grow in confidence and I need to commend my goalkeeper again.
"We rallied round Stephen O'Donnell after his error and we get what is a brilliant victory for us.

FT: Arbroath 1-0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Earlier this week, it was revealed Inverness Caledonian Thistle were aiming to raise £200,000 in two weeks to avoid being placed in administration this month.
Inverness travelled to Gayfield today and lost 1-0 through Gavin Reilly's goal midway through the second half.
Keith Watson was sent off for the hosts in added time after receiving a second booking but it did not affect the result as Arbroath moved three points clear of Inverness, who slipped below their victors and fell from from sixth to ninth as Annan Athletic and Cove Rangers won their games to move up the table.

Falkirk moved level on points with Scottish Championship leaders Ayr United following Ethan Ross' double against the Honest Men today.
The Bairns could go top by beating Livingston on Tuesday evening.

BBC Scotland at the SMISAFar, far from a classic here in Paisley but try telling that to the 1,000-strong Tangerine travelling support who’re delighted to be heading back up to Tayside with all three points. They're celebrating long and loudly here after the final whistle, not for the first time.
They've been really good on the road, Dundee United, with two wins and two draws already this season. It's the kind of form that just might keep them in the top six if they can replicate their away displays at Tannadice.
St Mirren just lacked the quality to trouble United today, not really doing all that much with the possession they had. Neither side played wonderfully well, you have to say, but that won't bother Dundee United for a second. The sides did a good job of cancelling each other out and the footballers both sides possess were never really able to influence things overly.
After escaping the Championship, it's so far, so good, for United on their return to the top flight.

Dundee United are a point behind Well and have opened up a four-point gap on today's opponents St Mirren.
Kilmarnock leap two places to ninth and join opponents Dundee on six points, though the Dens Park side have a better goal difference.

Matty Kennedy's 94th-minute strike completed Kilmarnock's incredible turnaround at Dens Park, after they trailed 10-man Dundee by two goals with 10 minutes to go.
The late goal also gave Kilmarnock their first win of the season after a run of seven games without a victory.
Strikes from Ziyad Larkeche and Oluwaseun Adewumi looked certain to give Tony Docherty a first win over former boss Derek McInnes, despite Mo Sylla being harshly sent off just before half-time.
But late strikes from Kennedy and Bruce Anderson restored parity before Kennedy tapped in at the back post to turn the scoreline on its head.
Both sides now sit on six points after seven games, with Dundee sitting one place ahead in eighth on goal difference.

They've done it! They've done it!
A first win of the season is surely secured after Matty Kennedy's tap-in at the back post after Bobby Wales' fantastic run and cut-back.
Emmanuel Adegboyega's header won the game for Dundee United
Dundee United extended their unbeaten away run in the Scottish Premiership to four matches with a hard-fought win over St Mirren.
Emmanuel Adegboyega nodded in the winner in the final quarter after St Mirren goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe parried Ross Docherty's thumping shot.
It was an apt winner in a game defined by industry in midfield and set-pieces rather than flowing football and lots of attempts on target.
Both sides struggled for control, but St Mirren arguably had the clearer opportunities, with top goalscorer Toyosi Olusanya profligate when rare chances did arise.
The striker headed over from close range after Killian Phillips, who also passed up some opportunities, had flicked the ball into his path.
United also huffed and puffed, with their most promising openings both coming from goalmouth scrambles, but Adegboyega and Sam Dalby could not finish from close range.
However, the Irish centre-back did eventually get his first goal in United colours when Balcombe spilled Docherty's rocket from the edge of the box after a corner was initially cleared.
The win moves United on to 12 points from their first seven games as Jim Goodwin's newly-promoted side sit in fifth place, now four ahead of St Mirren in sixth.
St Mirren lacking spark
Victory over struggling Hearts a fortnight ago could have been a turning point for struggling St Mirren, but it remains their only victory in 10 games.
Robinson switched from his usual three centre-back formation to a flat four, bringing in winger Roland Idowu and striker Kevin van Veen.
But neither seriously impacted the game, apart from Idowu's first-half effort that he dragged just wide.
Olusanya and Phillips looked the most likely to score for the home side, but the pair only managed to hit the target twice with their combined nine attempts at goal.
Van Veen, meanwhile, looks a shadow of the player who hit 29 goals in the 2022-23 season for Motherwell and it is now 16 Premiership appearances for Kilmarnock and St Mirren without scoring.
The most St Mirren worked United goalkeeper Jack Walton was Caolan Boyd-Munce's fierce shot from distance.
Three attempts on target from 16 shots and an expected goals rating 0.97 shows how much they toiled to create clear chances.
United doing enough on Premiership return
United were not much better than St Mirren in terms of their creativity and flow. They just managed to take one of their few good chances to score.
They remain a work in progress in possession, but Goodwin has instilled a competitive edge and Adegboyega continues to impress alongside Declan Gallagher and Ross Graham at the back.
Wing-backs Luca Stephenson and Will Ferry are also industrious and add quality.
The 1-0 home defeat by Rangers is their only loss in seven league matches this season and all of their games, regardless of the result, have been close.
The United fans and their manager will want them to develop a more dangerous attack and refined playing style so games are not always turning on fine margins.
It only takes a few things to change and suddenly results are turning when games are always so close.
However, right now, United have proved they will be extremely competitive after a season in the Championship.
