I understand Young Boys' approach becuase they are coming up against an in-form team that can hurt them all over the park.

They aren't going to come out, even though they are 1-0 down now. They seem quite content with not getting hammered here.

They have been beaten quite heavily in previous games, so they will probably take a 2-0 loss to come away from here with a bit of respect.

Hope I don't play any BBC Sport readers online tomorrow as I've given my tactics away a bit there.

  5. Postpublished at 18:24 GMT 27 November

    Aston Villa 1-0 Young Boys

Villa have had 46% of their attacks down the left, compared to 30% on the right. It's like when you play Fifa and you just keep going down the wing on the near side of your screen - and then do the other side in the second half.

Donyell Malen has scored seven goals for Villa and the Netherlands since the start of last month.

Unfortunate for Villa as Ian Maatsen charges into the box but then takes an extra touch and he's gone too wide. His cross isn't great.

    Celtic are back on terms!

After some patient build-up Reo Hatate runs onto a through ball, hooks a cross to the back post where Yang Hyun-Jun squeezes his first-time finish past Timon Wellenreuther.

    Game on.

Villa are just completely dominant here. Donyell Malen gets involved down the wing now.

    Aston Villa 1-0 Young Boys

Not sure why the Young Boys fans have been pelting Villa players with stuff. Not that it's ever justified anyway but this is hardly a rivalry or grudge match.

A great ball in to Donyell Malen who managed to get in-between the two defenders. He held his run really well.

Can the goalkeeper do better? Probably, it needs a stronger hand.

A great ball again from Youri Tielemans and a great header to finish it off.

Donyell Malen gives Villa the lead - and then gets a load of items thrown at him by morons in the away end.

The Villa forward gets in between two defenders to meet Youri Tielemans' cross and powers a header towards goal. The keeper gets a touch but just knocks it onto the post before it bounces in.

  15. Postpublished at 18:13 GMT 27 November

    Aston Villa 0-0 Young Boys

Villa should score here. Morgan Rogers crosses and Amadou Onana heads the ball back across the six-yard box and Donyell Malen airkicks it. Would have been an almost certain goal. He was basically nutmegged by his own team-mate.

Evann Guessand has to try to get his shots off quicker.

That's two occasions now where he has tried to take that extra touch in 1v1 situations.

If you minimise your touches in the box, you are more likely to score a goal.

Villa's Lamare Bogarde shoots from outside the box and it's blocked. Villa have had a few half decent chances but nothing to get too excited about.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Young Boys

    Robbie Savage

Young Boys are just happy playing on the break at the moment. They are quite happy to play in the low-block and let Aston Villa's centre-backs have the ball.

When they get the ball, they are looking to play it forward on the transition.

Their game plan is set. They are getting the ball but not going anywhere with it.
