Halifax Town's National League home game against Fylde has been postponed for the second time.

The two sides were originally scheduled to meet on New Year's Day but the pitch was ruled unplayable following heavy rainfall.

With neither club involved in the FA Trophy, the match was put back three days until Saturday.

But an inspection on Friday afternoon resulted in the game again being called off because of "freezing temperatures".

No new date for the fixture has yet been agreed.

Both teams are expected to return to action on 11 January, with Fylde at home to Sutton United and Halifax visiting Southend United.
