Tottenham centre-back Radu Dragusin has posted on Instragram ahead of his ACL surgery.

"Football gives you incredible moments, but also challenges - some harder than others. Unfortunately, I now face one of those challenges: a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in my right knee," said the Romania international.

"That being said, one of the many things I've learned from this sport is that behind every obstacle hides an opportunity to learn and grow. Football doesn't just teach you how to win - it teaches you how to fight when things get tough. A difficult period lies ahead, but I will come back stronger, and I will work had every single day during my post-surgery recovery to make that happen.

"Even though I won't be able to be on the pitch with my teammates, I will support them with all my heart - both at Tottenham and with the national team. I have no doubt that they will keep fighting with determination to achieve our goals.

"I want to thank you all for your messages of support after my injury - those mean a lot and give me even more motivation. Also, yesterday was a special day for me, and the overwhelming number of birthday messages I received truly surprised and touched me. Thank you all for your kind words!"

Felix began his career at Benfica and moved for £113m to Atletico Madrid in July 2019, a deal which at the time was the fifth-most expensive transfer in history.

He had spells on loan at Chelsea and Barcelona before he moved to the Blues in a £45m permanent deal in August.

Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League, after a 2-1 win over West Ham on Monday.

Milan, eighth in Serie A, play Roma in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on Wednesday and have a two-legged play-off against Feyenoord in the Champions League this month.

He has scored seven goals in 2024-25 - one in the 6-2 league win over Wolves in August, and two goals apiece in Conference League matches against Panathinaikos and Noah, and a double against League Two Morecambe in the FA Cup.

We're delaying our Arsenal chat for now because Chelsea have just confirmed Joao Felix's loan switch on their club website.

"Joao will now spend the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign at San Siro and we look forward to supporting him during his loan spell," say the Premier League side.

It's usually the manager who carries the can. Has Murray Burnell received the dreaded vote of confidence?

    Phil Jones
Former Manchester United defender on The Football News Show

If they really evaluate the situation, I think they're disappointed in the performances, he's [Marcus Rashford] not played a lot over the last 18 months, for one reason or another. He's a Manchester United boy, he knows the club inside and out. He loves playing for the club, he's made that known. It's not happened for him over the last 18 months. There's a kid there who has got unbelievable amounts of talent, I can only speak personally from when I played with him at United and at England. I think he is a fantastic player, who needs a bit of love, a bit of support.

Some breaking transfer news for you.

West Brom have completed the signing of striker Adam Armstrong on loan from Southampton until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old reunites with Baggies boss Tony Mowbray who he played under at Blackburn and Coventry.

West Brom's sporting director Andrew Nestor said: “We are pleased to welcome Adam to The Hawthorns for the rest of the season. He has extensive experience in the Championship and a proven goalscoring record."

Armstrong has scored three times in 23 appearances for the Saints this season.

It's best for both parts, both sides at the minute if he parts ways from them for a change of scenery. Playing for a different manager, different club, different teammates and hopefully he can revive something because if he gets to anywhere the level you can see on the screen, Villa have one hell of a player. I'd love nothing more than seeing Rashford back to playing, scoring goals, smiling.

It's not even my first offence.

I once called an underdog getting a point at Real Madrid a "famous draw".

    I stand by that one.

ACL knock though. A more experienced member of staff took off his glasses when he found out what I'd written and buried his head in his hands.
