Stevenage and Leyton Orient ground out a goalless draw at the Lamex Stadium in a game that was devoid of quality.

The first half was as much a battle between both teams and the blustery conditions, as much as a clash between each other.

It took 27 minutes for the first chance of any note and indeed the only opportunity in the opening half, which fell to the hosts.

A fierce shot from the edge of the area by Louis Thompson was not held by goalkeeper Josh Keeley but Nathan Thompson was unable to keep his follow-up effort on target.

The conditions forced Keeley to be alert 11 minutes after the restart when a Thompson delivery from the flank caught the breeze and forced the keeper to turn the ball away.

Substitute Elliott List saw his diving header go over the bar on 81 minutes, while a late Tom James free-kick was well held by Stevenage keeper Murphy Cooper.

Stevenage are now five matches without a win.
