Storm Bert wasn't the only thing to huff and puff this Saturday afternoon.

The weather did its best to wreak havoc on proceedings and denied us a full programme of games after the international break, but much of what was left was pretty absorbing.

Birmingham missed the chance to go top of League One at lunchtime as they were stunned by Gareth Ainsworth's Shrewsbury, with Wycombe taking full advantage by edging Lincoln to go four points clear after a seventh straight win.

Burton are the new basement-boys while Crawley are out of the drop-zone after heaping more pressure on former boss Steve Evans and Rotherham.

Walsall were the only winners in League Two's top-10 while Ian Holloway's sixth match in charge of Swindon ended in an ignominious home defeat to Morecambe, who moved off the bottom of the league.

We'll be back for Leeds' trip to Swansea in the Championship on Sunday afternoon and then Port Vale's mouthwatering clash with Crewe in League Two on Monday evening.

Enjoy your Saturday evening, hopefully inside! Goodnight!

    FT: Swindon 2-3 Morecambe

    Markus Fjortoft
    BBC Radio Wiltshire summariser

There's a lot more questions than answers I think Holloway will know that with his experience, we need defensive solidity. We need to be able to rely on those experienced players, it's about smartness and having a plan.

The goal we did score seemed to rally Morecambe more than it did for us and that is tough.

I can empathise with the players because it's hard when you have the fans on your back, six games without a win, the spiral is heading downwards and there needs to be some analysis.

    Drink it in, Morecambe fans...

What a basement battle we have in League Two, Morecambe's win at Swindon has lifted them off the bottom for the first time in a month and hauled them level on points with the team they defeated this afternoon, Swindon.

Colchester moved four points away from trouble with a late win at Grimsby at lunchtime while Harrogate came from behind to claim the points at Gillingham top open up an eight-point cushion.

Carlisle are now bottom, despite a creditable goalless draw with Doncaster.

Walsall were the only team in this morning's top-10 to win today, moving them within striking distance of leaders Port Vale, who face Crewe in a tasty-looking encounter on Monday night.

Doncaster and Notts County played-out stalemates while Chesterfield leapt up four places courtesy of their dramatic win over Barrow.

Early pace-setters Gillingham slide out of the top-10 after losing at home to Harrogate.

Holloway has to keep the positivity up because if it's not him then who is it?

Each manager has the role of working out how to get the best out of the players consistently he needs to set his stamp pretty quickly.

  6. Burton back at the bottom of League Onepublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

Burton and Shrewsbury trade places at the bottom with the Brewers back at the foot of the table on the back of a 3-0 home defeat by Stockport while Gareth Ainsworth's first game in charge of the Shrews saw them beat Birmingham 3-2.

Cambridge United played out a goalless draw at Northampton and Leyton Orient drop into the relegation zone as they drew 0-0 at Stevenage and Crawley beat Rotherham 1-0.

Blackpool are now eight games without a league win - their 2-1 reverse at Bolton means only two points separates them from the drop zone, likewise for Rotherham.

  7. Wycombe move four points clear at the top of League Onepublished at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

Wycombe's 3-2 win at Lincoln, a ninth successive victory in all competitions moves them four points clear at the top of the table.

Wrexham beat Exeter 3-0 to go second.

Stockport are up to third place with their 3-0 victory at Burton with Birmingham's lunchtime loss at Shrewsbury dropping them down to fourth.

Huddersfield's fourth straight home win jumps them up from ninth to fifth while Barnsley drop to sixth with a home defeat by Wigan.

    FT: Lincoln 2-3 Wycombe

    Mark Hone
Former Lincoln City defender on BBC Radio Lincolnshire

It's about the two penalty areas and Wycombe have been better in both than we have. They've taken their chances we haven't.

I think we actually played quite well, second half we had a real go at Wycombe, to be honest, they're a very very efficient side.

You can see why they score a lot of goals, having seen them I can see why they are where they are.

Louie Sibley enjoyed another afternoon with Stockport as he scored twice in their 3-0 win at Burton.

Luke McCormick's goal gave Bristol Rovers a surprise 1-0 win at Mansfield.

Emmanuel Fernandez's late goal for Peterborough wasn't enough at home to Reading where Harvey Knibbs scored twice in a 2-1 win for the Royals.

Huddersfield took a while to crack ten man Charlton. Level at 1-1 David Kasumu got the winner for the Terriers.

Wigan picked-up a first win in five League One matches as Thelo Aasgaard struck in a 1-0 victory at Barnsley.

Northampton and Cambridge United played out a goalless draw at Sixfields.

    Swindon 2-3 Morecambe

Morecambe pick up their third win of the season in this basement battle.

They took a 2-0 lead after 14 minutes thanks to goals from Jamie Stott and Ben Tollitt but Swindon levelled things up thanks to Aaron Drinan and Ryan Delaney.

But it was Hallam Hope's finish in the 78th minute that clinched all three points for the Shrimps.

This victory in Wiltshire lifts them from the bottom of the table and moves them level on points with Swindon.

Robins boss Ian Holloway is still in search for his first league win.

    Wrexham 3-0 Exeter

Wrexham maintain their unbeaten home league record and move up to second place with a comfortable afternoon in North Wales.

Exeter will be disappointed by the nature of the goals conceded - all headers from crosses with Max Cleworth, Ollie Palmer and Ollie Rathbone on target.

It was all typical Wrexham stuff but the visitors had neither the organisation or physicality to deal with it.

Ilmari Niskanen had a couple of efforts blocked, Caleb Watts a goal disallowed and Callum Burton denied Josh Magennis but it was a rather routine win for Phil Parkinson's side.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:54 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Lincoln 2-3 Wycombe

    What a brilliant game.

That's seven league wins in a row for Wycombe who have extended their lead at the top of League One, while Lincoln lose ground on the play-off places as their three-match home winning streak is ended.

Tendayi Darikwa scored the first and last goals for the hosts but Richard Kone's ninth of the season, Fred Onyedinma's neat second and Joe Low's late header meant Wycombe didn't even need to rue Luke Leahy's penalty miss, which was saved by the boot of George Wickens.

A great advert for League One.
