Bolton and Solihull Moors have never met before in the FA Cup proper – the Trotters last faced a non-league side in 2021-22, going out in a replay to Stockport County in the first round.
Solihull Moors reached the FA Cup second round in four of their first five FA Cup appearances but have since been eliminated at this stage in the last two seasons, both times in replays.
Bolton Wanderers have been eliminated at this stage in each of the last four seasons in the FA Cup. They haven’t progressed from an FA Cup tie since January 2019, a 5-2 win over Walsall in the third round.
Although Solihull Moors have only won three of their 15 matches in the FA Cup proper, all three wins have been away from home: 2-0 at Hitchin Town in 2018-19, 5-1 at Oxford City in 2019-20 and 3-2 at Scunthorpe United in 2020-21.
