Championship club Preston North End will be hoping to reach the FA Cup fifth round for the first time since 2015 when they host League One side Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon.

The hosts are on a nine-game unbeaten run at Deepdale, can they stretch that into double figures this afternoon?

This is just the fourth time that Wycombe have reached the fourth round of the competition.

Leyton Orient boss Richie Wellens, speaking to BBC One: "I'm proud because we created chances, we caused them problems, the atmosphere was brilliant. The goals are so obvious for us. Their wingers were staying high and wide and causing problems. I'm disappointed with the last goal. At least it took the big boy to come on and beat us.

"When this draw comes out, you've worried the player's mind goes to that. We needed legs in the last 20 minutes. Our lads are learning their trades. The game management is what you need to be a proper player.

"It was a brilliant atmosphere, they're a brilliant outfit and I wish them well in Madrid. Our chairman's buzzing he met Pep."

I went with Bournemouth to beat Liverpool last weekend, and they gave it a really good go. The Cherries hit the woodwork twice and they were unlucky to lose in the end.

I can see Everton making a few changes here, because they play Liverpool in the rearranged Merseyside derby on Wednesday.

After three straight wins, Everton manager David Moyes will still want a good performance to keep the momentum going, but I am going to stick with my policy of backing Bournemouth.

The Cherries have already beaten Everton twice this season - first with that incredible finish to their game in August, when they came back from being 2-0 down after 87 minutes to win 3-2, and then at the start of January when they won 1-0 in Sean Dyche's last game as Toffees boss.

I would love Andoni Iraola to go strong in the FA Cup this season and go all out to win it - the possibility is there, even with their current injury problems.

On that basis, I am going for them to get the better of Everton again, and make it a hat-trick of wins over them.

Bournemouth are in such good form they had a clean sweep of the Premier League awards for January.

Andoni Iraola was named manager of the month, winger David Brooks had goal of the month and Justin Kluivert was awarded player of the month.

Bournemouth's January featured huge 4-1 and 5-0 wins over Newcastle and Nottingham Forest respectively as well as beating Everton 1-0 and drawing 2-2 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Midfielder Brooks won the award for his wonderful strike in the victory against Everton, today's opponents, at Vitality Stadium at the beginning of the month.

Manchester City

Man City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Sport: "We played a really good game, it was a typical FA Cup game - that's why this competition is unbelievable. We knew that they were strong and they'd run in the channels. They are a really good team and incredibly well managed but we created a lot of chances. I'm happy to go through."

On whether he felt his side struggled in the first-half: "I don't think so. The first 10/15 minutes maybe but after the fantastic goal that they had - we took the game and created a lot of chances."

On whether he was frustrated that he had to bring on Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne: "Absolutely not, that is why they are here. We talk this competition incredibly seriously and we thought it was the best decision to make. I am happy for Kevin's goal, his movement was really good.

When asked if he can say what he was speaking to Phil Foden about at the full-time whistle: "No."

On Nico Gonzalez's injury: "Welcome to the Premier League and the referees. Maybe he knew about the referees because I understand it's not easy. It's not easy to do something when you play against teams like in League One."

Ipswich are on a terrible run in the Premier League, with their worst result coming with their home defeat by Southampton on Saturday.

Coventry have been doing much better under Frank Lampard in the Championship, winning four games in a row before they lost to leaders Leeds on Wednesday.

On the face of it, this looks like a possible upset, especially if Ipswich rest players, but I actually think they will go strong.

The Tractor Boys are a team who need a result to kick on after losing their past four matches.

Kieran McKenna's side are have got games coming up against Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United and they need to win a game first to give themselves some confidence and try to find some rhythm again.

Goalkeeper Alex Palmer, signed from West Brom on transfer deadline day for a reported £5m, will make his Ipswich Town debut against last season's FA Cup semi-finalists Coventry City.

“We are pleased to bring him in,” said Town boss Kieran McKenna. “He is a really good and experienced keeper and is someone that has been on the radar for a while.

“We felt it was the right time to bring another goalkeeper in. He has fitted into the group really well.”

Ipswich are 19th in the Premier League after four successive defeats while Coventry, who lost on penalties against Manchester United in the 2024 semi-final at Wembley after it finished 3-3 at the end of extra-time, are 11th in the Championship.

Sky Blues boss Frank Lampard won the competition four times as a player with Chelsea, who he also guided to the 2020 final as a manager with the Blues losing 2-1 to Arsenal at an empty Wembley because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Leyton Orient can be very proud of their performance. There has been a lot of pressure on this game and they have stood up to it really well. They have been unfortunate with the deflected goal. Wellens can be proud of his team and their efforts.

That wasn't a great performance by City who now move on to face Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Leyton Orient will remember this game for years to come. The League One side have done themselves proud.
