Kylian Mbappe hit a cameraman with a wayward shot during his shooting practice before the match.
Such was the power of the effort, it completely wiped out the photographer but the Frenchman went over to make sure that the man was feeling okay. An unfortunate occupational hazard.
This is the first time Kylian Mbappe has faced Paris St-Germain since leaving to join Real Madrid last summer.
The 2018 World Cup winner with France - PSG's greatest goalscorer with 256 goals - left to win the Champions League but Real got knocked out by Arsenal in the quarter-finals who then got knocked out by PSG in the semis as Mbappe's former club went on to win it for the first time.
Mbappe's debut season in Spain also included finishing runner-up to Barcelona in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
He'll be desperate to get his hands on the Club World Cup.

Superstar forward Kylian Mbappe remains in a legal dispute with his former club Paris St-Germain over bonuses and salary worth €55m.
Also, before kick-off, multiple French journalists tried to get manager Luis Enrique to talk about his former player but he wouldn't be drawn into any kind of comments about Mbappe, positive or otherwise.
It serves to highlight a fraught backdrop to this match as PSG's all-time top scorer Mbappe faces his former employers here in New Jersey for the first time as a Madrid player.
There are fans wearing Kylian Mbappe shirts all around the MetLife Stadium. There's a fair few with 'Bellingham' on the back of their tops as well. It's feels like a home game for Real Madrid.
Dembele to win Ballon d'Or?published at 19:59 British Summer Time 9 July

Most people believe this year's Ballon d'Or - with the nominations due in August - is a straight race between Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. It has been eight years in the making for the former.
His talent has never been in question.
France striker Dembele was once the second-most expensive player in the world when he signed for Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £135.5m in 2017 and, four years later, was described by Barca president Joan Laporta as "better than Mbappe".
A week later, the newly-appointed Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez said he was a player who "when used properly, could be the best player in the world".
Four years on and with his six-year spell of inconsistency and unfulfilled potential at Barcelona behind him, Dembele is certainly being used properly.
He has scored 34 goals and made 15 assists in 51 matches in all competitions in the season of his life so far, with those close to him adamant his form warrants the ultimate accolade on 22 September.

This is Jude Bellingham's 100th appearance for Real Madrid.
The former Stourbridge Juniors player has one La Liga title and one Champions League triumph since moving to Spain's capital two years ago.
"Everyone knows that 100 games for Real Madrid is a great dream come true and a great achievement," says the England midfielder.
"To be able to represent this club 100 times is incredible, a great achievement for me and my family. I hope there will be another 100 after.”
Bellingham adds: "We're coming to the end of the competition. We've been here for three weeks and it's been a great experience.
"We've had good training sessions preparing for a tough match against the reigning Champions League holders. We know it'll be a difficult game, but we'll do whatever it takes to win."

We want to hear your thoughts on tonight's semi-final - and Sunday's final. Will Paris St-Germain beat Real Madrid and stay on course to finish 2024-25 with five trophies - or will Thibaut Courtois and Antonio Rudiger set up a reunion with their old club Chelsea in the final.
Will Enzo Maresca's side kick-off their Premier League campaign on 17 August as Fifa Club World Cup champions? And what are your thoughts about a Super Bowl-style half-time show in the final?
Music superstars J Balvin, Doja Cat and Tems will perform a half-time show, as football follows the example of the Super Bowl.
The half-time line-up has been curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin, and the event will hope to emulate the success of the long-running Super Bowl half-time show, which has featured stars including Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna and The Weeknd in recent years.
Tickets are still available for an equivalent of £200.
Thundery showers are forecast during the final, which kicks-off at 15:00 local time (20:00 BST).

Paris St-Germain demolished Real Madrid to set up a Fifa Club World Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.
This semi-final tie at the MetLife Stadium was over as a contest within 24 minutes as the Champions League winners tore the Spanish side apart.
Fabian Ruiz tapped in the sixth-minute opener following a big mistake from Real defender Raul Asencio - after the referee let play continue following Thibaut Courtois' foul on Ousmane Dembele.
French winger Dembele raced away three minutes later to finish calmly after a mis-kick from Antonio Rudiger.
Ruiz then slotted home the third after a fantastic give-and-go between Achraf Hakimi and Dembele.
Real, who were missing the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold, offered little in response and Goncalo Ramos added a late fourth for PSG to cap a dominant display.
What was the main talking point?
PSG's all-time top scorer Kylian Mbappe was on the pitch to witness another masterclass… by his former side.
Since the France striker left for Madrid a year ago on a free transfer, PSG have become an infinitely better team and are looking to make the Club World Cup their fourth trophy of 2025 (five if you count France's version of the Community Shield).
And despite a combined 48 goals and assists from Mbappe in 2024-25 for Real, they have ended the campaign without a trophy.
No team can handle the pace, passing and pressing of Luis Enrique's PSG side, who thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 to win the Champions League and have beaten Atletico Madrid 4-0, Bayern Munich 2-0 (with nine men) and now Real Madrid 4-0 in the United States.
Ruiz scored twice but his midfield partners were fantastic too. Real could not handle PSG's front three, nor Hakimi at right-back.
There was an emotional goodbye for 39-year-old Croat Luka Modric, who made his 597th and final appearance for Real and will join AC Milan now.
The standout stats
Dating back to the Coupe de France final, PSG have won their last five knockout round matches in all competitions by a combined score of 18-0.
Real Madrid, who had never lost a Club World Cup match before, conceded three goals in the opening 25 minutes of a match for the first time since 9 November 2003 against Sevilla in La Liga.
What is next for these teams?
PSG play Chelsea in Sunday's final, which will also take place in New Jersey. They have back-to-back games against London sides, starting 2025-26 off with the Uefa Super Cup against Tottenham on 13 August.
Real Madrid will not be action again until their opening La Liga game. At the moment that is due to be at home to Osasuna on 19 August, although Real are trying to get that game postponed to give them a longer break.
