Ben Stanway scored the winner for Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle moved level on points with St Johnstone at the top of the Scottish Championship after coming from behind to beat Ayr United at Firhill.

Ethan Walker put the visitors ahead in first-half added time after being played through by Jamie Murphy, but Thistle roared back after the break.

Tsoanelo Letsosa and Ben Stanway both struck within five minutes of the restart to give Mark Wilson's side the lead and Walker was then sent off for a second yellow card, denting Ayr's hopes of a late fightback.

The result extends Thistle's unbeaten league run to 10 matches and takes them to 24 points from 11 matches, six points ahead of Arbroath in third and only behind St Johnstone on goal difference.

Ayr are fourth on 17 points.
