    FT: Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

That is all from us after a disappointing night for Linfield and Larne, who both suffered first leg defeats in their Uefa Conference League third qualiifying round ties.

They still have their respective second legs to turn it around next week, and whilst the Blues will fancy their chances at home, it looks a tough ask for Larne in Portugal.

You can read the reports from both games on the BBC Sport website.

We will be back on Saturday for the start of the Irish Premiership season.

See you then, but for now, goodnight.

  2. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:53 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Larne hold firm in the second half on Warden Street and keep the deficit at three. However, the damage was done in the first half and it will still be a steep uphill battle at the Estadio de Sao Miguel next week.

Dan Bent is booked for a lunging foul on Paulo Victor (aka 'PV') but the free-kick from Matheus Nunes (aka 'MT') nearly clears the stock car track.

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Simpson immediately makes an impact as he makes a diving block on Serginho's goal bound effort!

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

James Simpson replaces Sean Graham who is limping slightly as he departs. Hopefully nothing serious for the former Ballymena man.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

On 73 minutes, Nathan Rooney decides to inject some attacking impetus as he brings on Benji Magee and Kobei Moore in place of Mark Randall and Tiarnan O'Connor.

  9. Postpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Some lovely interchange between Dylan Sloan and Tomas Cosgrove but the final pass from the former of the two is too long and Gabriel Batista pounces on it.

Larne have been better since the restart with 67 gone now.

  10. Postpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Santa Clara have brought on Matheus Nunes (not he from Manchester City) and Paulo Victor who have both just got their initials on the back of their shirts.

I have seen a lot of things in football but that's a first for me I must say.

  11. Postpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Larne win a free-kick on the edge of the box, but Mark Randall's effort is straight at the wall. Some half-hearted appeals for handball are waved away even with VAR in use.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:10 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

It looks as though it may be four but Rohan Ferguson's outstretched leg denies Vinicius Lopes five minutes after the break.

Amusingly, Adam Ladeback then gives Sidney Lima a yellow card for time-wasting!

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Back underway at the Ballymena Showgrounds. Can Larne tighten up or will Santa Clara continue to dish out punishment?

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 7 August

    Vikingur 2-1 Linfield

The final whistle goes in Torshavn and Linfield will have some work to do to turn around a one-goal deficit in next week's second leg at Windsor Park.

David Healy will be disappointed with tonight's scoreline but he will probably feel that the Blues have the capability of overturning that deficit in seven days' time.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

A three-goal first half blitz from the Portuguese outfit has Larne firmly staring down the barrel of a heavy defeat here. They have showed their quality and deserve their lead

    Vikingur 2-1 Linfield

Goalkeeper Armgrimsson fumbles a Kirk Millar cross but is mightily relieved to see the ball pop up where he can grab it.

That, in many ways, sums up the second period for Linfield.

  17. Postpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 7 August

    Larne 0-3 Santa Clara

Dylan Sloan picks out Dan Bent in a momentary spark for Larne but Federico Venancio deals with it well.

After several efforts at putting the ball back into the danger area, the ball is in the arms of Hans Jakub Armgrimsson.

That's not where Linfield want to see it.
