    Burton 1-0 Blackpool

Burton look a different side since the signing of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and the Icelandic forward sets-up Jack Armer whose effort is saved by Harry Tyrer.

Almost a second assist of the day for Bodvarsson.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Notts County 0-0 Morecambe

Not ideal for the home side, Jordi Jones has been forced off with an injury.

He is replaced by Will Jarvis.

  3. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Close for Huddersfield who almost capitalise on their early domination.

Dion Charles has a dip from the edge of the area and it's inches wide.

    Reading haven't got going yet.

  4. goal

GOAL Burton 1-0 Blackpoolpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Rumarn Burrell (19 mins)

What a spell Burton are having.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson flicks on and Rumarn Burrell sprints away for his sixth goal in eight games.

Quite a way to celebrate being crowned the division's player of the month for January.

We are goalless in the games between Bolton and Crawley and Rotherham against Shrewsbury.

Lincoln have the lead at home to struggling Cambridge United thanks to a goal from Freddie Draper with his fifth of the season.

  6. 'The game as a whole has calmed down'published at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Colchester 0-0 Walsall

    Paul Joannou
Walsall summariser on BBC Radio WM

The Saddlers have settled down after that Colchester chance and have seen a lot more of the ball.

The game as a whole has calmed down and Walsall seem to be in control again now.

They need to take some authority and start to turn the screw.

  7. Postpublished at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Tawanda Chirewa was a late addition to the Huddersfield squad in the transfer window as he joined on loan from Wolves and he's certainly given the home side a lift.

A cross from the loanee just evades Callum Marshall - we haven't seen Reading as an attacking force yet.

  8. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Notts County 0-0 Morecambe

    Chance for County.

Jodi Jones sends a dangerous ball in the direction of Alassana Jatta and he heads towards goal but it flies narrowly past the post.

  9. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Burton 0-0 Blackpool

A first serious look at goal in this one comes for Burton with Udoka Godwin-Malife heading over from and Owen Dodgson cross.

It's five games unbeaten against seven games unbeaten so this will hopefully live up to the billing.

  10. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Colchester 0-0 Walsall

A decent chance for the hosts to open the scoring.

Owura Edwards breaks down the line and into the box, pulling it back for Harry Anderson but his shot flies just wide of the post.

  11. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

Five changes for Huddersfield as they look to snap this three-game losing streak.

They have forced an early corner and are seeing plenty of the bvall.

The Mark Hughes era has begun with a bang!

Sam Lavelle gives Carlisle's new boss the perfect start. The League Two basement boys are 1-0 up on Grimsby inside five minutes.

  13. Postpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Huddersfield 0-0 Reading

An interesting move from Huddersfield boss Michael Duff who has made five changes today including bringing in goalkeeper Lee Nicholls for Jacob Chapman who is on the bench.

Matthew Pearson and Ruben Roosken miss out completely and Bojan Radulovic left in midweek while Joe Hodge is among the substitutes.

As well as Nicholls, Tom Lees, Herbie Kane, new signing Tawanda Chirewa and Callum Marshall get starting berths.

Reading are unchanged which means Tyler Bindon starts having completed a move to Nottingham Forest and then been loaned back to the Royals.

  14. Postpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

    Burton 0-0 Blackpool

When you're five games unbeaten it's probably best not to mess with things and Burton are unchanged from the side which drew at Barnsley last week.

Blackpool make one change from their late comeback against Charlton with on-loan Stoke forward Niall Ennis making his first start in place of the absent Tom Bloxham.

A win for Notts County against strugglers Morecambe today could see them finish the day as high as second in the League Two table.

County are on a fine run at the moment, unbeaten in their last five league outings, winning four of them.

Morecambe sit 23rd and have won just one of their last five matches, they have won just one of their eight away Football League games against Notts County, failing to score on each of their last three visits to Meadow Lane.

County have won five of their last eight home league games, keeping a clean sheet in each victory during that time.

Walsall won the reverse fixture 4-0 in September

League Two leaders Walsall travel to Colchester and will be looking to get back to winning ways after some recent frustration.

The Saddlers are seven points clear at the top of the table but have drawn one and lost two in their last three matches.

This afternoon's opponents Colchester United have had some success recently and could prove to be another tough game for Walsall today.

The U's have won three and drawn one in their last four matches, victorious in their last two outings.

Danny Cowley's side have won just one of their last 14 league games against Walsall, failing to score in three of their last four matches against the Saddlers.

After winning the reverse fixture 4-0 in September, Walsall will be looking to complete a first league double over Colchester United since the 2008-09 season.

  18. Play-off wobblers seeking consistencypublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

Huddersfield Town v Reading (15:00 GMT)

Huddersfield and Reading have a shared problem - too inconsistent to trouble the top two but consistent enough to be in the play-off shake-up.

The issue is, that inconsistency has struck again at precisely the wrong time of the season.

The Terriers 16-game unbeaten league run came to an end at home to Bolton which was swiftly followed by two more defeats leaving them a whopping 11 points adrift of the automatic promotion places but only four inside the top six with the chasing pack getting ever closer.

The additions of Joe Taylor and Dion Charles in the transfer window caught the eye but winning is now the name of the game.

Reading suffered the loss of boss Ruben Selles to Hull City in December with Noel Hunt quickly appointed as his replacement.

The Royals were sixth when Selles jumped ship and in their subsequent 11 games have taken 14 points to sit outside the play-off spots on goal difference.

The sale of leading scorer Sam Smith to Wrexham in the transfer window will help the club with their finances but might not be much assistance on the field.

A three-game losing streak was halted last weekend with a win over Bolton and with three home matches to follow today's trip to West Yorkshire now might be the time to rediscover that sought-after consistency.

  19. Bowyer's brewing a Burton knees-uppublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February

Burton Albion v Blackpool (15:00 GMT)

Burton Albion head coach Gary BowyerImage source, Rex Features

From dead and buried on 8 January to in with a shout on 8 February - a month is a long time in football.

One week into last month Burton Albion were 11 points short of safety but five games later that gap is down to five points and the Brewers are unbeaten in that run as well.

The goals have been flowing with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson hitting four in four appearances and Rumarn Burrell's haul of five from six games in January earned him the League One player of the month award.

The trouble for Burton is they started this run so far behind they cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal if they want a survival party come 3 May.

Blackpool arrive unbeaten in their past seven league matches which is their best run since April 2021 and still harbouring hopes of a late play-off push, albeit there is a six point difference to bridge.

The loss of leading scorer Kyle Joseph to Hull City in the transfer window will not help their cause but on-loan Stoke forward Niall Ennis gave notice he could fill the void left by him with a goal on his debut in last weekend's draw with Charlton.

These are two sides still with plenty to play for.
