    West Ham 1-0 Everton

Things have quietened a little here. It's Everton who are still enjoying the bulk of the play, attacking West Ham in numbers.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    Crystal Palace 1-2 Tottenham

Palace are piling on the pressure.

A superb defence-splitting pass from Katie Stengel finds the run of Ashleigh Weerden, who desperately stretches to get a low effort on goal which Lize Kop does well to keep out.

    Janice Cayman (17 mins)

Leicester are level! Make that four goals for the Foxes in the league this season!

Mia Enderby is penalised for a shove on Sophie Howard just inside Liverpool's half and there's a tidy thwack as Ruby Mace pings the resulting free-kick into the box.

And it falls to captain Janice Cayman, who reacts fastest and coolly slots home the equaliser.

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

Ruby Mace's outswinging corner causes chaos in the Liverpool box, with the ball pinballing around. However, Sophie Howard hooks her over the shoulder effort well over the bar.

Leicester are growing into this game.

Olivia Smith looks like the key attacking threat for Liverpool today.

She charges down the left and picks out Taylor Hinds in the box, whose shot is scrambled away.

    West Ham 1-0 Everton

If you want an idea of how big Everton's misses have been, they already have 0.82 expected goals. That Katja Snoeijs chance especially should have seen them grab an opener.

Liverpool's early lead may be fortuitous but they've certainly had the best of the opening 10 minutes and have dominated possession (65%).

    Shekiera Martinez (9 mins)

Everton have had two big misses, but West Ham make the most of their opportunity.

Shekiera Martinez had forced the corner. She capitalises on the set piece, meeting Viviane Asseyi's delivery at the near post to flick it into the roof of the net and beat Courtney Brosnan.

That required more effort from Courtney Brosnan. Shekeira Martinez fires towards her goal from a tight angle and she parries it behind for a corner.

    Katie Stengel (47 mins)

    Palace do have one back!

A neat Palace move sends Molly-Mae Sharpe scampering down the right flank.

Sharpe fires in a low cross from the right and Katie Stengel produces a fine first-time finish from a tight angle at the near post which flies into the roof of the net.

Tottenham goalkeeper Lize Kop no chance.

    West Ham 0-0 Everton

West Ham have a free kick in a dangerous area, but it doesn't do anything to trouble Courtney Brosnan. Camilla Saez rolls a low effort around tow wall but it lacks any real pace.

  12. 'It doesn't look like a penalty to me' - Slegerspublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Arsenal

Arsenal manager, Renee Slegers, speaking to BBC Two: "We know that games against Chelsea, there's going to be small margins and small details can make a big impact on the game and that’s what happened. I have to see [the penalty] again. It doesn’t look like a penalty to me, but the decision is made and that decides the game for us.

"Overall I’m happy with how the girls managed the game. We knew they were going to come out strong and we were prepared to have to deal with a lot in the first 10-15 minutes, and I think we did that well and we grew into the game. I think we did a lot of things well today. We want to be more clinical with our finishing in the finall third. [But] overall, it was a tight game, small margins and Chelsea win on a penalty."

On Katie McCabe's red card: "I have to understand the situation better. I don’t understand the details of the situation after the penalty was given. I haven't [spoken to her] yet but I will do."

On Arsenal's title hopes: "This was obviously a very important [game]. We wanted to stay close [to Chelsea] and come closer. Unfortunately, we couldn't do that today. But you never know. We had some slips at the start of the season and you never know when other teams are going to slip."

    Leicester 0-1 Liverpool

This was always going to be an uphill battle for Leicester, who have only scored three goals in 11 league matches this season, but now they'll need at least two goals to pick up the three points.

For context, they haven't scored two goals in a WSL match in 2024/25.

That should be 1-0. What a miss! Katja Snoeijs heads into the ground from two yards out and it bounces up and hits the bar. A massive let-off for West Ham.

Leicester's goalkeeper won't want to watch that again.

It's a horrible start to the game for Janina Leitzig, who sees her clearance charged down by Olivia Smith and end up in the back of the net.

    An early gift for Liverpool.

  20. Liverpool expecting 'tough game' against Leicesterpublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Leicester City v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

Liverpool are expecting a "tough game" against Leicester City due to the Foxes' miserly defensive record.

Leicester currently sit 11th in the table, with just one win from their 11 matches, while Liverpool sit six points above them in seventh.

But while the Foxes' struggles in front of goal are well-documented (they've scored just three times in the league this season), only Man United (5), Arsenal (6), and Chelsea (6) have conceded fewer goals (14) in 2024/25.

"They don't score many but they don't concede many," said assistant manager, Scott Rogers. "They're very organised and very hard-working, and they have had chances that could have gone their way.

"There's quite a few talented players [in Leicester's squad] and as for their league position, it's such a tight league that if you get a few results against you, you end up at the wrong end of it. That doesn't mean you're a bad side.

"This will be a very tough game for us."
