  1. Leicester 'moving in right direction' despite lack of goalspublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Leicester City v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

Leicester City haven't had much to cheer about this season, winning just one of their 11 league matches.

A lack of goals has been at the heart of their struggles, with the Foxes scoring just three times and going goalless on eight occasions.

Injuries haven't helped their cause - midfielder Saori Takarada has been providing cover up front, for example - but it's also far from a new problem for Amandine Miquel's side, who have scored eight goals in their past 19 WSL matches.

However, despite lacking a "killer instinct" in front of goal, Amandine believes her side are "moving in the right direction" and are only one goal away from changing their fortunes.

"The players are starting to understand what's being asked of them. In possession, they are more efficient, but maybe lacking that killer instinct," she said.

"Last week [against Tottenham], we were around the opponents' goal a lot more and were unlucky [not to score]. For me, it's moving in the right direction, and hopefully, one will eventually go in and give us confidence."

  2. Team news - Hanshaw makes West Ham debut, Gago starts for Evertonpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

New signing Verena Hanshaw goes straight into the lineup in midfield, as Camila Saez and Shekiera Martinez also start.

Kirsty Smith, Shelina Zadorsky and Li Mengwen all drop to the bench.

West Ham XI: Szemik, Tysiak, Saez, Denton, Piubel, Gorry (c), Siren, Hanshaw, Martinez, Ueki, Asseyi

Subs: Pavi, Mengwen, Brynjarsdottir, Zadorsky, Bergman-Lundin, Harries, Walsh, Smith, Ademiluyi

Everton boss Brian Sorensen makes two changes to the team that rescued a late draw at home to Aston Villa last Saturday.

Heather Payne and Justine Vanhaevermaet drop to the bench as Sara Holmgaard returns in defence and Kelly Gago starts up top.

Last week's goalscorer Veatriki Sarri is not in the matchday squad.

Everton XI: Brosnan, S.Holmgaard, Finnigan (c), Fernandez, Hayashi, Wheeler, T. Payne, Ladd, Hope, Snoejis, Gago

Crystal Palace are almost punished by a third Tottenham goal on the stoke of half-time.

  4. 'It was everything you expect from a derby' - Brightpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Chelsea

Chelsea captain Millie Bright, speaking to BBC Two: "It was intense. It was everything you expect from a derby, especially two in-form teams. From our point of view, we're happy to get the win, happy to get the clean sheet, but we want more. From a performance perspective, we still want better from ourselves but first and foremost, you want the three points. It was tough to break them down but we just needed to be a bit more ruthless in their box."

On Chelsea's title ambitions: "We focus on ourselves - that’s one things we've said from the start. We don’t want to be looking at other results and relying on other teams to drop points. We’ve put ourselves in a great position to keep climbing at the top and extending our lead, and we’ve done that again today."

On new signing Naomi Girma: "I can’t wait [to play with her]. She’s an unbelievable person and a fantastic player and I think we’re really lucky to have her. I think we're really grateful that she chose us. It also sends a real statement to the rest of the league and Europe about the direction we’re going in and the titles that we want to win. She’s going to be a fantastic addition. We can't wait to get started with her."

  5. Team news - Shannon O'Brien returns for Leicesterpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

Leicester City v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

The return of striker Shannon O'Brien is one of two changes for Leicester City, with Sam Tierney also coming into the XI.

Saori Takarada and Nelly Lasova drop to the bench, alongside new signing Olivia Clark, who joined the Foxes from Twente earlier this week.

Leicester City XI: Leitzig, Bott, Howard, Thibaud, Ale, Cayman (c), Mace, Tierney, Momiki, Goodwin, O'Brien.

Subs: Clark, Nevin, Swaby, Kees, Lasova, Sherwood, Takarada, Cain, Chossenotte.

Liverpool manager Matt Beard makes three changes to the side which beat Brighton 2-1. Gemma Bonner, Jenna Clark, and Mia Enderby come into the XI in place of Hannah Silcock, Gemma Evans, and Cornelia Kapocs.

Leanne Kiernan, who scored a hat-trick when these two sides met at the King Power Stadium last April, is on the bench.

Liverpool XI: Micah, Parry, Fisk, Bonner, Clark, Hinds, Nagano, Kerr, Holland, Smith, Enderby.

Subs: Laws, Evans, Kapocs, Kiernan, Haug, Hobinger, Bartel, Daniels, Shaw.

  6. 'Chelsea have depth and strength to go unbeaten'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC Two

On whether Chelsea can go unbeaten this season...

Yes, they have the depth and strength.

They have brought in Naomi Girma to plug the gaps. They have got players coming back and players who are on the rise, getting back to form after injuries.

    So why not!

  7. 'A great, great win for us'published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor, speaking to BBC Two: "I'm really pleased. It was a difficult performance today because Arsenal are a really good team. I think we started well, after the first 15 minutes we dropped a little bit. We believed until the end it was possible so I think mentally it's a big thing for us. It's a great, great win for us.

On what the result means for the title race: "We'll always keep our mentality, there are a lot of games to be played. You never know what will happen. If we keep the right mentality we are in a really good position but I want to make sure my players are working hard in every game and we want to finish as high as we can in the end."

On when Naomi Girma may make her first appearance: "We don't exactly know yet just because she was in the off-season in the US and has a big nodule in her calf. We'll be working with her and making sure she will be fit to play with us when she can."

    Crystal Palace 0-2 Tottenham

There's nobody standing on the open terracing at the ground, with fans huddled together in the covered stands in an attempt to protect themselves from the elements.

Tottenham are enjoying the majority of possession as the game edges towards half-time, but Palace still have moments when they look dangerous in the attacking third.

  10. 'Arsenal had the best of chances'published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Fara Williams
Former England midfielder on BBC Two

Arsenal were very much in this game and had the best of chances.

What you can't do against this Chelsea team is give up those chances and allow them to get back into the game.

Chelsea know how to create those moments and they won the penalty eventually.

  11. 'We want to go the season unbeaten'published at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January

    FT: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal

    Chelsea

Chelsea's Lucy Bronze, speaking to BBC Two: "I thought it was quite an even game, both did really well. I've not watched the penalty back, Kim Little assures me it wasn't a penalty but I don't know. We just saw the game out in the end."

On the tactics: "From the off we were front-footed, it's something we want to do in most games. I think we're still getting used to the tactics of Sonia. The great thing about Chelsea this year is there's not one XI, we adapt in different ways. We started really well on the front foot."

On what Sonia Bompastor's instructions are: "She wants us to dominate games, to be in control of games. Chelsea in the past have been good on the transition but we also need to be able to dictate games, you can't just play at full pace for 90 minutes for 40 games a season."

On Arsenal being tough to play against: "They're a good team, they've found a bit of form recently under the new manager. We knew it would be a good game and it would be tough to break down."

On the gap at the top of the table: "At the end of the day we're trying to win four trophies and that's difficult, we wanted to get a good stretch of points so that when we're trying to compete in all cups we're in a good place. We can afford that but we want to go the season unbeaten so that's the way it us."

On wanting to go unbeaten this season: "There's records out there to break, we've never clinched the Champions League. Unbeaten is unbelievable and we're on a good road to doing that."
