  3. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time

  4. goal

GOAL Dundee 1-0 St Johnstonepublished at 15:15 British Summer Time

    Simon Murray

What a bizarre goal. It's a long ball from Dundee goalkeeper Trevor Carson, which centre-back Jack Sanders inexplicably allows to bounce.

Simon Murray races on to the ball and hoofs it up over the goalkeeper Ross Sinclair, then awkwardly chests it in after sprinting around him.

    Awful defending.

A slow start in Dingwall as both sides adjust to the rain bucketing down.

There'll be a further delay as Brad Lyons receives medical treatment. It appears to be a knee injury, as he punches in the turf in pain. Looks a nasty one.

  8. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time

  13. Bairns and Pars meetpublished at 14:55 British Summer Time

    Falkirk v Dunfermline Athletic (15:00)

It's heating up nicely in the Scottish Championship and promoted Falkirk are sitting pretty at the top with a four-point lead.

At the other end, Airdrieonians, Dunfermline Athletic and Raith Rovers - three sides more likely to be pushing for promotion - are struggling for form.

Game of the day is Falkirk v Dunfermline Athletic - a second meeting of the season between these two rivals, with the Bairns having the upper hand last time.

  14. 'Confidence should be high'published at 14:53 British Summer Time

    Dundee v St Johnstone (15:00)

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Dens Park

It’s a chilly and breezy day at Dens Park for St Johnstones visit to Dundee. There really should be no excuses, though, for either team given both had victories last week and confidence in both camps should be high.

Those wins for both came on the back of a run of poor results and the way the table sits at the moment, every point could make the difference between a top or bottom six place.

Both teams have attacking line-ups - so it may be the defence that is stronger that ends up being the victors on Tayside.

  15. Kilmarnock 'can't give County encouragement'published at 14:51 British Summer Time

    Ross County v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "We're worked hard to put ourselves in that position - two wins in a row and being unbeaten in six. If you're feeling good about yourself, you've got to try and maintain that.

"The aim for any club in this league is to try and get as many of those little unbeaten runs as possible. We're enjoying it, we take the positives from last week, more so the clean sheet.

"The team illustrates how happy we were with last week, but this is a different challenge today. This will be hard to win. We need to be resolute and not give the home team too much encouragement."

  16. Cowie relying on home performancespublished at 14:50 British Summer Time

    Ross County v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Ross County manager Don Cowie tells BBC Scotland: "We were disappointed with the performance and result [last week], but had we won that game, I might have made the same amount of changes. It's just how I work.

"Everything that we could've done wrong [last week], we did. Conceding a goal early, went down to 10 men and after that we conceded right on half-time. It was a mountain to climb.

"It's about responding to that, getting back to what we're good at and putting on a strong performance at home. The performance levels have been really strong at home. As a group, we feel comfortable here."

  17. Valakari wants to bring back successpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time

    Dundee v St Johnstone (15:00)

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells Sportsound he's relieved to be finally in the dugout after visa issues.

"It has been frustrating but it's all behind us now," he said. "It's good to be here with the players, feel the atmosphere, smell the grass, so I'm happy to be here.

"I know how difficult this league is and how difficult it is to manage here. Over the last 10 years maybe I wasn't ready. I needed to learn my trade in different places and when this opportunity came, it all made sense.

"We are very realistic and know what we need to do. It's the start of the process.

"St Johnstone has been a successful club and we want to bring back those days. I know this game means a lot to our fans - it's as local a derby as it can be. It's a big challenge but a big opportunity."

  18. Docherty pleased with improvementpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time

    Dundee v St Johnstone (15:00)

Dundee manager Tony Docherty: "It was an important win [against Motherwell]. It's all about the squad improving and we worked hard during the international break to try to get that clean sheet - and we did that.

"But once we did the analysis it's gone and we move on to this game.

"There will be a really good atmosphere in the ground today. St Johnstone had a really good result and performance last week. So it's two good teams on form.

"But I want it to be about us today."
