This will be only the second ever season in which Bolton and Stevenage have met in the league, after 2020-21, in which the Trotters completed a league double over the Boro in League Two.
Stevenage’s only previous visit to Bolton in the Football League saw them lose 1-0 in February 2021 after a Declan John goal. MJ Williams was red carded for the Trotters that day.
Bolton have only lost three of their last 19 home league games (W11 D5), winning four of their last six such fixtures (D1 L1).
Stevenage have won six of their last seven away league outings (L1), as many as their previous 43 beforehand (W6 D19 L18).
