    Gillingham 0-0 Bradford

Bradford in again as Jamie Walker's pass puts Tommy Leigh through with just Glenn Morris to beat.

The Gillingham stopper comes out quickly to close the angle and makes himself big to pull off a good save.

    Peterborough 0-0 Wycombe

Peterborough might be at the other end of the table to their visitors but Wycombe will still be weary.

The Posh are buoyant with confidence after a positive run of games and look to start on the front foot.

Cian Hayes' cross wanders deep into the box and needs to be cleared out for a corner.

The home side can't do anything with the delivery but they look primed to cause the Chairboys some trouble.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Gillingham 0-0 Bradford

There's so much up for grabs for Bradford who could hit the top of League Two with victory following Walsall's lunchtime defeat to Grimsby.

And there's an early chance for City as Jack Shephed rises highest to meet Richie Smallwood's free-kick, but the defender heads just over.

Gills defender Conor Masterson also picks up a very early booking for the initial tackle which led to the set-piece.

    Birmingham 0-0 Lincoln

    Richard Wilford

It is a perfect spring day at St Andrew's for football.

The pitch is actually a bit bare on the edges, but it does look in better nick than it did for the last home game.

Right then, can Bradford City take a spot at the head of the League Two table?

Third-placed Doncaster will be hoping to return to winning ways in their bid to remain in the automatic promotion places when they welcome a Swindon side who ended Walsall's 12-match unbeaten home run last weekend.

Port Vale's promotion hopes suffered another blow as they were held to a goalless draw against Harrogate on Tuesday.

Darren Moore’s side, who sit in sixth and are unbeaten in the past 10 league games, make the journey to Lancashire to face a Fleetwood side who are unbeaten in their past four league games at Highbury Stadium.

The Cod Army will be hoping Ryan Graydon’s scintillating form continues having scored five goals in his past four league games.

Crewe remain just in the play-off places despite suffering a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Fleetwood.

They have, however, lost just two of their past 14 away league games and will be looking to claim successive wins on the road for just the second time this season. Alex head to a Salford side who have won just once in their past 10 league games.

Carlisle prop up the League Two table although Mark Hughes has taken them on a four-game unbeaten run, picking up three draws and one win. The run has taken them within three points of safety with a game in hand as they go to Harrogate.

Second-bottom Morecambe bagged a vital win over promotion-chasing AFC Wimbledon last time out to see them move within a point from the relegation zone. Today they make the trip to MK Dons who have lost six of their past seven League Two games.

The Dons will be hoping to avoid four defeats on the spin as interim boss Ben Gladwin takes charge of his second game after Scott Lindsey was sacked on Sunday.

Doncaster Rovers will look to get their promotion push back on track against Swindon Town.

Grant McCann's side were beaten on the road in midweek at Bromley.

Today's visitors have been transformed since Ian Holloway took charge.

Olly has turned Swindon from relegation candidates to a team safe in mid-table and they arrive at the Eco-Power Stadium on a three-match unbeaten run.

Rovers are still in with a shout of the League Two title and are only seven points behind leaders Walsall and if they want to continue those aspirations then victory today against the Wiltshire side is a must.

  11. Bantams aiming to keep pressure on at the summitpublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Gillingham v Bradford (15:00 GMT)

Gillingham have just the one win in their past 15 league games and go into this on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Newport on Tuesday.

However, John Coleman’s side did pick up that all important win and his first as manager, last time they were at Priestfield when the beat Morecambe 1-0. So they’ll be hoping home advantage does play a part to make it two wins on the spin at home.

Only thing standing in their way of that is a Bradford side who are second in the table and have not lost a league game in seven.

In fact they have suffered just the one league defeat since the turn of the year and 10 victories has seen them propel them from ninth, 17 points behind leaders Walsall, to within a couple of points of the Saddlers.

The Bantams will be aiming to make it five wins in a row and could go top in they achieve that feat and Walsall lose against Grimsby in one of the early kick-offs.

Either way, Graham Alexander side will be hoping to strengthen their grip on an automatic promotion place.

Bolton will seek to continue their march towards the play-offs as they head to Burton this afternoon.

Steven Schumacher's side have won eight of their past 10 and are within four points of fourth-placed Stockport, with a game in hand, while the battling Brewers remain three points from safety and are seeking just a fourth home win in 18 games this season.

Despite losing four straight, Leyton Orient remain in the hunt, four points behind Wanderers, and are at home to 18th-placed Northampton, five points clear of the drop zone.

Barnsley are a further point back in 10th ahead of their visit of Blackpool, who have drawn five of their past seven.

They are all chasing sixth-placed Huddersfield, who have lost three of their past four and face a trip to Bristol Rovers, one place and three points clear of the drop-zone.

Cambridge United will try to close a seven-point gap to Rovers as they visit Wigan. while rock-bottom Shrewsbury, another point behind, head to Exeter, who are within four points of the bottom-four themselves.

Stevenage welcome Mansfield, winless in 11 in the league, in the day's other game.

Wrexham will seek to get back to winning ways at the Stok Cae Ras when Rotherham come calling at 15:00 GMT.

The Red Dragons have fallen two points behind Wycombe in the race for automatic promotion, thanks in large part to picking up just two points from their past four home games, their worst run in the EFL on home soil since 2007.

That was also the year Rotherham last won a league game in Wales, picking up just four points from 10 trips across the border since then.

The Millers come into this one in decent nick, however, Tuesday’s 1-0 win over high-flying Leyton Orient made it back-to-back wins for the first time since early December, having taken one point from their five previous games.

Wrexham have won four on the spin on their travels to stay in touch with the promotion race, with a 1-0 win at Huddersfield on Saturday meaning they can take advantage, should Wycombe stumble against Peterborough this afternoon.

Despite this being a game crucial to the League One promotion race, I feel the spirit of the EFL Trophy lurking in the background.

A month ago, high-flying second-placed Wycombe had Birmingham in their sights at the top of the tree. Peterborough were a point and a place above the relegation zone. The Chairboys would have been clear favourites.

But having knocked out Wrexham on penalties to reach their second straight EFL Trophy Final (beating Wycombe in last year's final, by the way), Posh are on a run of five unbeaten, and are now breathing a little more easily above the drop zone.

Wycombe, meanwhile, now have Wrexham breathing down their necks in third, aiming to leapfrog them into the automatic promotion places.

A win at Burton in midweek eased any fears of a slide under new boss Mike Dodds, but they could very much do with a win today.

  15. Can Wycombe upset the Posh party?published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Peterborough v Wycombe (15:00 GMT)

Things have been looking up for Peterborough recently.

The Posh have picked up eight points in four games to see them five points clear of relegation and won a penalty shoot-out against promotion-chasers Wrexham in the EFL Trophy to advance to the finals.

That win, along with victory over play off contenders Huddersfield last month, will need to give them confidence as they host second placed Wycombe Wanderers in a bid to ride their momentum away from the drop zone.

But the Chairboys won't make it easy.

They have an automatic promotion spot to protect and with the Red Dragons biting at their heels, Peterborough will be the ones receiving the full brunt of Wycombe's ambitions.

Chris Davies springs no surprises and makes three changes after his side’s midweek loss at Bolton.

The return of Ryan Allsop in goal is a timely boost, as is the recall to the starting 11 of top scorer Jay Stansfield.

There's a buzz around St Andrew's today. A maximum of nine more wins are needed for Birmingham to win automatic promotion.

Birmingham City and the term 'losers' have not been too familiar this season.

But after an outstanding run of 19 league games not experiencing the bitter taste of defeat, they were finally served a loss by play off contenders Bolton Wanderers last time out.

Enough to leave Blues unsettled? Likely not but it will give their latest opponents, Lincoln City, some food for thought.

Down their first choice right-back Ethan Laird and goalkeeper Ryan Allsop only just returning from injury, Birmingham are not at full strength and the Imps won their last league match against Crawley with some aplomb.

Though the win was only Lincoln's second of the year and facing a team fighting for relegation is a very different task to a side who seem destined to return the Championship.

But if Birmingham can be beaten once, who says they can't be defeated again?

There were some boos from the Saddlers faithful as the referee blows for full-time.

The nervy march to promotion continues.

  19. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    Walsall 1-3 Grimsby

Grimsby's Jayden Luker seals the deal with a second goal of the afternoon after the Walsall keeper makes erroneous move away from his line.

It means Grimsby extend their unbeaten run and, for now at least, move into a play off spot.

Also for now, Walsall remain the league leaders but Bradford City will be taking a look at the score line and licking their lips.

Will we be seeing a new name at the top in a few short hours?

  20. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 8 March

    AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Notts County

Notts huffed and puffed in the second half, but it's a well deserved three points for the home side who got the job done in the first half through Alistair Smith and Joe Lewis.

Johnnie Jackson's side were full value for their first win in six and go above County into fourth place, a point outside the top three.

Just one win and three defeats in six for the Magpies.
