Millie Turner, who signed a new three-year deal this week, was not happy with that decision but the replay shows it's a good one from referee Emily Heaslip.

Into the 85th minute, Brighton know this game is there for the taking. Nikitta Parris is the latest to fire just over the bar.

The wall does its job from the free kick. Gabi Nunes tries to send it under the wall but it's blocked.

Better from Aston Villa. Paula Tomas plays a cross into the box but Millie Turner eventually clears.

Jill Baijings is then fouled on the edge of the box and Villa have a free kick.

Aston Villa have a rare chance but it definitely isn't well-taken.

Chelsea match-winner Erin Cuthbert speaking to BBC One: "For us it was just about energy, We wanted to impose ourselves from the early part of the game and we never managed to do that. There were a few tactical tweaks at half time that we had to make because the game was becoming too stretched.

"Kerolin has got lightning speed and as soon as we were able to nullify that threat a bit more it helped us and we were able to get a bit more control of the play."

On her winning goal: "Well the gaffer didn't tell me to do that! I've been challenging myself to get in the box more and it was one of those that body, head, shoulder, I'm going in the goal with the ball type of thing. Sheer determination.

"I didn't care what body part it hit, I just wanted to get to it first. And then when you are that close to the goal, any touch will guide it in."

It's saved!

Wonderfully too as Melina Loeck stretches out to her left to tip behind Nicole Momiki's effort.

Ella Toone has two attempts from a United corner, both are blocked.

The visitors eventually recycle the ball and find the head of Elisabeth Terland, but her effort is saved by Sabrina D'Angelo.

Villa are under constant pressure.

It's brilliant from Grace Clinton, just taking the initiative.

The Man United players are getting into the area far too easily.

That just needed a final touch.

Grace Clinton drives into the box and spins one to the far side of the goal but it goes just wide.

Having just got her side back into it, Madison Haley has now become the villain.

Sam Tierney's not going anywhere as she twists and turns just inside the box, but that doesn't stop Haley from jumping in, and bundling the defender to the floor.
