    FT: City 1-2 Rangers

Rangers' Kirsty Howat tells BBC Alba: "Delighted, big three points from us.

"Some shift from every single person and, yeah, absolutely delighted.

"I’m loving my football right now. Found some form, which is nice as well. Yeah, it’s brilliant.

"You play for Rangers, you’ve got to put a shift in, the talent only gets you so far. Every single player tonight fought right to the, end and we got our reward."

    Glasgow City 1-2 Rangers

It's over. Rangers move to the top of the SWPL...

...for now. Celtic and Hibs are still level, a Hibees goal would see them take top spot come the close of play this evening.

Some title race we have on our hands.

Not long to go there, either.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 85 mins

    Glasgow City 1-2 Rangers

Oh my. City think they've equalised.

A smart free-kick is fizzed low into the box, and despite the initial attempt being saved, it loops up for Kimberley Smit to stab in.

The flag is promptly raised for offside, though.

  7. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Glasgow City 1-2 Rangers

Glasgow City's goalkeeper, Lee Gibson, needs a bit of treatment at the side of the pitch.

Almost immediately, the whole City squad bolt over to the touchline for a wee huddle and a team talk.

A coincidence, I'm sure. This never happens in football these days...

    Ouch!published at 76 mins

    Glasgow City 1-2 Rangers

A sore one for Chelsea Cornet, but she's soon back to her feet and the game resumes.

Rangers are still getting plenty of possession, they're just not using it as effectively as they have done this evening.

  9. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Glasgow City 1-2 Rangers

Just under 20 minutes to go - can Rangers hold on, or will City get back into it?

It's all turned a bit scrappy right now.

    Glasgow City 1-2 Rangers

Sofia Määttä comes so, so close to equalising after some relentless pressing.

She drives to dink it towards the back post but can't lift it over the goalkeeper.

  11. goal

GOAL Glasgow City 1-2 Rangerspublished at 60 mins

    Rio Hardy

City fail to clear the ball as they try and play it out from the back.

Rangers pounce, win it back, and make them pay.

Hardy drives the ball low and under Gibson from the angle and some determined play from Brogan Hay to keep it alive.

City enjoy a bit of sustained possession, but it fizzles out as soon as they enter the area.

The second half is yet to match the end-to-end nature of the first.

A fine Lee Gibson save to tip Kirsty Maclean's looping effort over the bar.

A decent start to the half.

I think at the end of the half, Jo Potter might just be the happier of the managers.

Rangers grew into the game and played more like she would have been looking for.

It's hard to call. It's two teams really going at it.

I don't think I've watched Kirsty Howat score too many goals from inside the box.

It's a great strike and probably, on the balance of play, what Rangers deserve.
