  2. 'We've fallen short' - Potterpublished at 14:40 British Summer Time

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Hibernian

Rangers manager Jo Potter tells Sky Sports: "We're hugely disappointed, we're gutted.

"It's hard to sum it up. It's going to be hard to try and get over that one this week but we've got to. We've got a cup final to look forward to next week but this will be a hard one to get over.

"We lost the game, it's tough. If we'd have done the job today it would have been enough. We've fallen short, Hibs beat us three times in the league this season. We came up short a lot against Hibs.

"We didn't really do enough to come out and try and score goals to win the game. To concede chances like that is hugely disappointing.

"It's tough because yes the league has been ultra-competitive, Hibs have done a great job and they deserve to be champions. But we're still so disappointed, we expect more of ourselves. We've let ourselves down. To be given another chance and not take it, it's hugely disappointing.

"It's hard right now, we're going to hurt. We can't keep feeling this way but as the week goes on we'll get back up for it again. There's another trophy at stake and we want to win trophies."

Hibernian assistant Joelle Murray tells Sky Sports: "It hasn't sunk in yet to be honest.

"18 years has been a long time for a club like Hibs. The girls were absolutely fantastic all season and again today.

"I've had a few sleepless nights this week, hopefully I can get a good night's sleep this week.

"It's not just what we've done this season, it's been a few seasons of building, small steps.

"It's massive for the game in general, season upon season, this one has probably been the most competitive. It's fantastic but I think next season will be even better."

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Hibernian

Hibs centre-back Siobhan Hunter tells Sky Sports: "Probably at the start nobody thought it, it makes it even sweeter.

"It was a dream that's now possible in my eyes. We've been doing it all season and we really deserved it today.

"It's easy to get distracted, look at other teams. The togetherness we have is unbelievable and if you've got that you're hard to beat. The club is in a real good place right now and it deserves to be there.

"We had a couple of results where we slipped up but when it counted we stood up for one another. It's so special I can't put it into words but this club deserves to be where it is."

    Some more from the gaffer.

"We've got pedigree in the squad that can only feed into the rest of the players and keep giving them belief," he added.

"We've got another one over the line and I'm just thrilled to bits.

"The togetherness in the group, that galvanization, we've had a few knocks this year. The reaction after the cup final, that's all you can ask the players to do.

"The group have turned up almost every week. they deserve so much credit for that.

On the goal that won the game, the manager added: "At one point I wondered what Linzi Taylor was doing up there! She's been a magnificent signing for us."

Former Scotland goalkeeper on BBC Radio Scotland

It cannot be underestimated how well Hibs have done this season.

They've got a lot of quality, they don't have a huge amount of depth but what they've been able to get out of that depth has been amazing.

It's a mentality thing, they will fight tooth and nail for each other, for each blade of real and artificial grass.

They've taken teams to the wire, every time anybody says they're going to fall off the pitch back up.

They've never known when they're going to be beaten.

    FT: Glasgow City 2-0 Hearts

Glasgow City manager Leanne Ross tells BBC Alba: "That was the objective for today. After the disappointment of losing out on the league title, the next objective was second place.

"The players deserve it, the staff deserve it and it's a wee bit of payback to the supporters as well.

"[We've tried to play good football] all season. We've got a game plan, a style of play, the players take it on board and run with it in training. The performances are excellent at times.

"Unfortunately we've fallen short at times, but we'll address them going into next season."

  17. 'This is the stuff you dream of'published at 14:04 British Summer Time

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Hibernian

Linzi Taylor tells Sky Sports: "I can't believe it.

"It's the stuff you dream of when your'e a wee girl. I'm absolutely delighted. We came here for three points and that's exactly what we did.

"I think a lot of people wrote us off [earlier in the season]. We're so together, everybody is in it for each other. This isn't just us as a group of players, this is absolutely everybody. The staff have given us the backing and we've shown what we can do.

"The fans have showed up in their numbers every single week and I think that's what got us over the line a lot of the time. this is for them as well."

    FT: Glasgow City 2-0 Hearts

Glasgow City captain Hayley Lauder tells BBC Alba: "We did have objectives of winning the league this year, but that objective switched and we've done it today.

"I'm delighted for the group, for the club. It's just rewards for the season that we've had.

"We've played good football all season. There are fine margins that have ultimately cost us the league. That's what training has been like all year and I absolutely love playing that type of football for Leanne Crichton and Leanne Ross.

"I've struggled with injuries for years but this year I've managed to stay fitter. I've really enjoyed this season, the style of football suits me and hopefully we can kick on on Sunday."
