This is Scarborough Athletic’s first ever meeting with Forest Green Rovers, and first appearance in the FA Cup proper since the club were formed in 2007.
As a Football League side, Forest Green Rovers have won four of their five FA Cup matches against non-league opponents, with the exception being a 3-2 loss to St Albans City in November 2021.
Lewis Maloney scored Scarborough Athletic’s winners in their last two qualifying rounds of this season’s FA Cup, in a 2-1 win at Darlington, and a 3-2 win at Oxford City.
Forest Green Rovers have won just one of their last seven away games in the FA Cup (D1 L5), with that coming at South Shields in the first round of last season’s competition.
