Did McCabe come off because she was on a yellow, is she to be trusted to keep her head?

Obviously Taylor Hinds is playing left-back for England these days, an experienced player but we'll have to see how she gets on.

    Interesting one by Slegers.

Spurs starting as they meant to go on by winning a corner straight from the restart.

Amanda Nilden swings it in from the right but Mariona Caldentey is there to clear the Arsenal lines.

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

The new-look visitors get us back under way.

Tottenham are still unchanged for now.

Those changes have now been confirmed.

Hinds is on for Katie McCabe at left back, which is probably best given her first half yellow card.

And Smith will take the place of Beth Mead.

Looks like Arsenal boss Renee Slegers has seen enough.

Taylor Hinds and Olivia Smith have been spotted going through their final warm ups and kit checks at the break.

    HT: Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have attempted the last five shots in this game.

Tottenham's last shot was taken by Matilda Vinberg in the 15th minute

Having billed it as the 'tightest WSL north London derby we've seen yet' pre-match, it's hardly a surprise that the sides are locked in stalemate.

Just as well both teams have plenty of fire power to bring off the bench...

The general consensus here is that this is a real north London derby, perhaps in a way we've not seen so much in the WSL.

Tottenham are genuinely competitive with Arsenal and have arguably been the better side marginally.

They look comfortable on the ball, dangerous on the break and solid at the back. Arsenal have had more of the ball but haven't offered much.

With both teams level on points, it feels like there's something bigger riding on this game than in previous derbies.

  9. 'It could go either way'published at 15:22 GMT

    HT: Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

It's been quite an interesting one.

I think Arsenal started out really brightly but Spurs have managed to really ride that momentum and get themselves back into it in terms of creating some dangerous chances.

It's still in the balance and it could do either way in the second half.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:20 GMT

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

    And it is.

We're remain as we started in the north London derby.

No goals and very little to talk about so far.

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

Beth Mead steps up and blasts her effort off the wall and Jess Naz delights in thumping it well away.

That should be that for the first 45.

  12. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

Free kick to Arsenal right at the end of the half as Toko Koga is adjudged to have fouled Stina Blackstenius.

What a position to have one too. Right on the edge of the D.

  13. 'Spurs are clever to slow it down'published at 15:17 GMT

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

I would love to see Spurs go for it but the reason they aren't is because Martin Ho will be quite happy going in 0-0 at half-time. There will be some potential tweaks in the second half for both these sides but I think in those transitional moments right now, it's clever from Spurs to slow it down.

We'll have four minutes of stoppage time to end the half.

A reminder that whoever wins here would not only take local bragging rights but also third spot in the table.

  16. 'You need to be perfect to win the league'published at 15:15 GMT

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal have to win this game.

I think most of us in the media would have expected Arsenal to be up there considering how well they did towards the end of last season but they've dropped a lot of points in games you would have expected them to win.

With the competitiveness of this season and the teams around, you can't afford to do that, you nearly have to be perfect.

  17. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Arsenal

Still very little between the sides as we near the interval.

Arsenal were already 2-0 up by this stage of last season's encounter here.

Martin Ho is crouching down in the dugout to get a view of things from grass level. It looks like he's gesturing to go to a 4-4-2 on occasions.

Renee Slegers is moving to and from the analysis screen. They are not happy about something!

Katie McCabe is the first player to have their name taken by referee Emily Heaslip for upending Tottenham's Olivia Holdt as she tried to drive upfield.

McCabe voices her complaints but they fall on deaf ears.

Stina Blackstenius' is gaining in influence here and looks the most likely player in red to break the deadlock.

Compatriot Amanda Nilden did well to get tight there to prevent her turning and shooting inside the box.
