Summary

  1. Final whistle on Saturday's actionpublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 24 August

The game of the day on paper was always going to be the north Belfast derby and, after an entertaining 90 minutes, it was honours even at Seaview thanks to Kieran Offard's third goal in three games.

The surprise of the day was at the Coleraine Showgrounds where Glenavon got their first points of the season with a 2-0 victory over Dean Shiels side.

That leaves Ballymena as the only side with a played four, lost four record with things getting no better for Jim Ervin's much-changed outfit after a 1-0 defeat to Dungannon.

All eyes were on David Healy at Windsor Park and the big story at the Blues will remain whether a 5-1 win over Loughgall will be the manager's last game in charge.

You can read reports from today's games here and keep up to date with all the reaction, highlights, and of course any update on Healy's future, on the BBC NI Sport website.

  2. Update on Dungannon players involved in car crashpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 24 August

Rodney McAree on Sportsound after four of his players were involved in a car crash before their 1-0 win over Ballymena: "Thankfully they're all okay. There's a few scrapes and bruises but nothing serious which is the main thing.

"You get a phone call at ten to one from Deccy Dunn telling you that they've had a car crash and there's four of them in the car.

"Deccy Dunn, James Knowles, Tom Maguire and our new signing Danny Wallace. Out of those four, three would have been starting and the other couldn't wait to get back into first-team action.

"It was an eventful start to the day but thankfully first and foremost the boys are okay.

"We'll touch base and do whatever is required from our end and we'll make sure they're okay.

"I think it's the impact, the suddenness, the whiplash and what have you.

"We don't know too much at this stage but we'll find out over the next half hour or so."

  3. 'Really poor reaction from Coleraine'published at 17:01 British Summer Time 24 August

    FT: Coleraine 0-2 Glenavon

    Tony Gorman
    BBC Radio Ulster summariser

Coleraine were very poor second half.

They came out for the first couple of minutes bright, but then a poor pass from Lyndon Kane to Keith Ward and that leads to Ward scoring the goal and after that a really poor reaction from Coleraine.

No conviction, no belief and very little options in the final third.

  4. 'End-to-end stuff'published at 16:56 British Summer Time 24 August

    FT: Crusaders 1-1 Cliftonville

    Shane McCabe
    BBC Radio Ulster summariser

A great game, really enjoyable. End-to-end stuff, some physicality in there and sprinkled with quality.

I'm really excited watching Kieran Offord and Jordan Stewart getting back into it. Ronan Doherty tried to get on the ball as much as possible, but the game sort of bypassed midfield because it was you attack, we attack.

  5. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:56 British Summer Time 24 August

    Linfield 5 – 1 Loughgall

A day to forget for Loughgall but perhaps the perfect send off for Linfield manager David Healy as speculation mounts about his managerial future.

Linfield were four to the good at half time, with goals from Chris McKee, a brace from Samuel Roscoe-Byrne and one from Joel Cooper.

Ethan McGee made it five inside the hour mark before Loughgall’s Ryan Waide scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

  6. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 24 August

    Coleraine 0-2 Glenavon

A goal at the start of either half sees Glenavon earn their first win of the season at previously unbeaten Coleraine.

Davy McDaid fired the visitors in front after just two minutes, despite claims of offside from the hosts, and Keith Ward repeated the trick four minutes after the restart.

Former Coleraine goalkeeper Gareth Deane produced a string of fine saves to deny his one-time colleagues and help record an unlikely victory for Stephen McDonnell's side.

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 24 August

    Dungannon Swifts 1-0 Ballymena United

It's all over at Stangmore Park where Kealan Dillon's first half free kick earns Dungannon's first three points of the campaign.

Ballymena remain rooted to the bottom of the table after a fourth straight defeat.

The final whistle blows, and it's honours even at Seaview as both sides remain unbeaten in this hard-fought 1-1 draw.

Ryan Curran's first-half penalty had given Jim Magilton's men the lead, but Kieran Offord's third goal of the season, just two minutes later, ensured the Crues would claim a share of the spoils in an entertaining game in North Belfast.

Cliftonville have added a massive amount to this game. Some great performances throughout and I think they have defended certain situations well and they'll be happy to get out of here with a point.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:49 British Summer Time 24 August

    Crusaders 1-1 Cliftonville

Destiny Ojo comes agonizingly close to snatching all three points for the visitors!

The substitute unleashes a curling effort that seems destined to find the top corner, but Jonny Tuffey produces a moment of sheer brilliance.

The former Glenavon keeper, at full stretch, tips the ball behind with an incredible save, denying Ojo what would have been a stunning winner.

The Reds' bench and fans are left with their heads in their hands, unable to believe that Tuffey has managed to keep the scores level.

    BBC Radio Ulster summariser

It was a fantastic strike [from Forsythe] and one of them that just wobbled, but the keeper did great to get a touch on it and guide it over the bar.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:46 British Summer Time 24 August

    Crusaders 1-1 Cliftonville

Jordan Forsythe steps up to take a free-kick in a dangerous position and unleashes a powerful strike that seems destined for the back of the net.

However, David Odumosu is equal to the task, making a stunning save to turn the ball behind for a corner.

The former St Pat's keeper has been in inspired form today.
