Match Facts

  • This is the first ever meeting between Lille and Juventus in any competition.

  • Lille have only won one of their four games against Italian teams in the UEFA Champions League (D1 L2), beating Milan 2-0 in December 2006.

  • Juventus have lost three of their last four UEFA Champions League matches against French opponents (W1), including both against Paris SG in the 2022-23 campaign.

  • With just three games played in the UEFA Champions League this season (W2 L1), Lille are already just one victory away from equalling their most in a single edition of the competition (3 in 2021-22).

  • After winning their first two UEFA Champions League matches under Thiago Motta (v PSV and RB Leipzig), Juventus were beaten by Stuttgart on home soil last time out.

  • Lille won 1-0 against the reigning champions Real Madrid in their previous UEFA Champions League home game, and will be looking to win consecutive home matches in the competition for the first time ever.

  • Lille have made 10 changes to their starting XI in the UEFA Champions League this season; the joint-most of any side through the opening three rounds (also 10 for RB Salzburg).

  • Lille have only had 18 shots in the UEFA Champions League this season, the second fewest of any side. 33% of their shots have come from substitutes (6/18), with three of their four goals this season scored by subs, all against Atlético Madrid last time out.

  • Nine different players have made their UEFA Champions League debuts while playing for Juventus this season (Yildiz, Cambiaso, Gonzalez, Douglas Luiz, Di Gregorio, Savona, Vasilije, Rouhi and Cabal), their most in a season since 2012-13 (11).

  • Jonathan David has scored six goals in his last eight UEFA Champions League appearances for Lille. Lille have won all five games he’s scored in but haven’t won any of the six games he’s featured in without scoring (D2 L4).
