  4. 'A poor enough first half'published at 15:56 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

    HT: Glentoran 0-0 Dungannon Swifts

    Darren Murphy
    Sportsound summariser

It's been a poor enough first half and I think both Rodney McAree and Declan Devine will be disappointed with their players' efforts. The conditions aren't good but the ball has spent far too much time in the air and the players haven't helped themselves.

  6. 'Linfield got a goal out of nothing'published at 15:52 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

    HT: Crusaders 0-1 Linfield

    Paddy McLaughlin
    Sportsound summariser

Linfield slightly shaded it with the threat they carried, they got a goal out of nothing. I'm expecting a lot more from Crusaders in the second half, they have to create more, and they will have the wind.

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

    Glenavon 0-0 Ballymena United

Referee Jamie Robinson's whistle ends a tedious opening 45 minutes at Mourneview Park.

Glenavon will feel they perhaps didn't take full advantage of the wind that is howling down the pitch.

It will be interesting to see Ballymena's approach to the elements in the second period.

  13. Postpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

    Glenavon 0-0 Ballymena United

Ballymena should be in front as Andy Scott breaks through the Glenavon rearguard and lays the ball off for Aaron Jarvis.

The midfielder takes his shot early and beats Gareth Deane but defender Barney McKeown is alert to the danger to clear of the line.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:47 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

    Carrick Rangers 2-0 Coleraine

It should be three goals to the good for the Gers as Paul Heatley picks out Kyle Cherry unmarked in the penalty area.

The midfielder throws himself at the ball, connecting with a diving header that has Max Little beaten but the ball falls the wrong side of the far post.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

However Glentoran can't take advantage of the resulting free-kick.

  16. Postpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 12 October 2024

    Crusaders 0-1 Linfield

Joel Cooper almost plays in Matt Fitzpatrick one-on-one but the ball is ever so slightly out of reach.

In the build-up to that, Euan East collided with an advertising hoarding and was slow to get up. He is still limping slightly so David Healy will be hoping there is not more bad injury luck.

We have five added minutes here as a result of the earlier clash between Fitzpatrick and Robbie Weir.
